I still don't know why you are worried about Anambra's ongoing airport project? Are you from Anambra? Why now allow Anambrans decide what is good for them? Why are you drinking panadol on another man's headache? Let this go because the airport project is already ongoing and no amount of ranting can STOP it. Move on with your life for once or go and task your own state government. Leave us alone on this matter because the airport has come to stay.

Anambra International Airport will be the busiest in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja. FACT! The only reason some airports around are still standing is because of nearness to Anambra. FACT! So in otherwords Anambra's own airport will have a massive patronage coupled with the fact that it will be a hub for commercial sale of ATK for international flights.

Yes, Anambra is developing 3 malls and that is unprecedented in Nigeria apart from maybe Abuja and Lagos. Most Nigerian states are even more comfortable with just one mall but not the same with Anambra. Which means we have upped our game. Besides malls, Anambra is developing in conjunction with some investors a worldclass whole sale shopping center at Ogbunike, this is aside Oba International market. Onitsha main market is receiving a government attention and it is fitted with CCTV. All our open market/shopping centers are organized and neat.

Airport business is not profitable unless there is a huge patronage.

As a state governor, would you rather spend money on an airport that has little revenue generating capacity or on shopping malls - which has huge demand, will be an instant sale. The shopping mall will uplift the state of shopping and sanitation in the state. Pay back itself almost instantly. Provide massive continuous revenue from taxes.

Someone mentioned Anambra is building 3 malls already, do you think that's enough?
Onitsha alone needs about 20 shopping malls. I repeat 20 massive shopping malls.

The cost of building the airport will build a modern mega mall. Which will be snapped up by markets . The money made will be plunged back into building another mall. .

The state of cleanliness of the city and state will greatly be improved.

More taxes from the stalls will increase government coffers.

Increase patronage of shoppers. More money to the markets and traders. More money to Anambra. More money to make even more noise.

Standard of living will be significantly improved.

Shoppers experience will be a delight.

Same goes for ABA.

What is your choice shopping malls or airport?


Like for shopping malls , share for airport.

And who are you to tell us where to focus on? We already have some of the biggest farms in Nigeria, this is aside the huge industrial complexes and heavy economic/comercial activities.

Within 4 years the state can proudly eradicate the current open stall dirty markets littered in Onitsha and Anambra as a whole.

The state of cleanliness of the city and state will greatly be improved.

the job that will be created for anambra state. by airport staff. airline staff. transport. logistics.

that's by the way. every business dat use air cargo make use of lagos airport. the cost of transportation from lagos to anambra. Will be cut. all the money anambra business pay indirectly to lagos..all the money haulage firms pay at benin and ore and lagos. all add to increased cost of goods and loss of revenue....by accident robbery kidnap is reduced.


anambra is building a shopping mall but shopping has never been a problem.


the government is running a private sector driven economy in anambra.

in case u don't kno the airport anambra is building is being financed by orient refinery. the company will sell aviation fuel. and it's an international cargo with local airport.
