I don't really think there is much of a difference. It's just nomenclature

Where I work, between your point of assumption, through your at least, 6-month probationary period, you are recognized as a Graduate trainee (entry level). After the confirmation of your employment, you are then recognized as an Executive trainee.

I hope this helps a little.

Executive position is like when you're the husband celebrating your 10th year anniversary, while Entry level is like when you're the new boyfriend..

Getting your uestion right, you probably mean - What is the difference? Other than title and pay? What different responsibilities do they have, how knowledgeable/experienced are they? Basically what would you use to determine which one you (or someone else) should be?

Well culling from This Post On What Does Entry Level Mean? No Experience Jobs?

An entry-level job is a job that generally requires little skill and knowledge, and is generally of a low pay. These jobs may require physical strength or some on-site training. Many entry-level jobs are part-time, and do not include employee benefits. Recent graduates from high school or college usually take entry-level positions.

Entry-level jobs which are targeted at college graduates often offer a higher salary. These positions are more likely to require specific skills and knowledge. Most entry-level jobs offered to college graduates are full-time permanent positions.

Whereas, executives might just be a title that is over-used. As I know, executives are the employees who could become a manager or director in the future.

They are not near same. Management levels are the highest level in a corporate organisation.

most organisations have;
1. Junior staff
2. Senior staff ( this cadre even has stratifications )
3. Management staff.( this has stratifications too)

In short,

Executive level staff are on top of the food chain, while entry level position staff are at the bottom of the food chain.
