The SOP in question, is it about ur travelling to Germany or about the course u r going to study. Danke
Could be a little blend of both. Why you want to study your course in Germany.

domex007:

From ur transcript I take it that u r going for masters? as for people that didn't go for German classes how do they answer the question about the language?
Thanks
You could say you are learning via self-study or if your school offers German tutorials you could mention that too n say you'll learn when you go over. It doesn't affect your visa processing once your programme is English taught(Just shows preps you've made for your stay in Deutschland I guess)

okezie007:

What's about the dreaded 5days mail?
Any "a.m mail" you receive from the embassy within 5days after your interview could spell disaster. Anything asides an email to fund your account=99.8% rejection.

Why did you let the "lil issue" linger till now? That's like one of the most important docs to them for some reason (the scratch card inclusive). If a court affidavit can fix the issue you should do so asap. "Incomplete applications would be rejected free of charge".

After 2 weeks and 3 days,I got this from Deutsch Bank.
We regret your account can not be opened for the following reasons

Your passport is not readable.

Please send us your entire, valid passport photocopy authenticated by Germany embassy only by postal or courier services
If we do not received the documents within the next two months, we will consider your request as finished.
My people what is the next thing to do oooooo.na wa for this Deutsche Bank oooooo

@kenniez26 I have the same issue with my passport. Did you book another blocked account appointment with the embassy? Please I would like to know how you went about it. Thanks

Nice one, pls any specific amount of words 4 ur SOP or max or mini pages stuff?
Painpill:
Interview was earlier in the week. My transcript.

Went in 6:30am. Did my biometrics, paid visa fee, submited my docs and my file was created and visa receipt given to me. I wrote my SOP in 10mins, submitted and waited for my interview. After attending to those for DB opening et al my interview started around 11/12pm.

-Do you speak deutsch?
-Where did you learn?
-To what level?
-Why Germany?
-Why do you wana study this course?
-Why not in the  UK or US?
-How did you get to know about the school n course?
-How did you apply?
-How much did you pay to uniassist?
-What docs did you submit during application?
-What response did you get after application?
-Plans after studies?
-Timeline from primary school till date.
-Your course structure.
-All modules from 1st-4th semester.
-Means of sponsorship?
-Parents occupation?
-Name of company?
-Bsc project topic? (And she googled it n blew me questions related to it)
-List textbooks you used during your Bachelors (Ikr? She typed all)
-Tell me more about your intended course of study (and she was googling n asking me questions related)
-Got family in Germany?
-Friends?
-Name of course coordinator?
-Ever applied for a German or schengen visa?
-Tell me bout your city?
-Name of your mayor?
-Spell it?
-Population of your city, state,  n germany?
-Kinda system of government practised in Germany?
-Name of president & chancellor & their parties?
-Name all German states?
-Neighbouring countries?
-How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany?
-Made accommodation arrangements?
Ayt, you'll be contacted via e-mail. Byee.(gave me back my passport)

My tips: -Practice writing your SOP in 10mins before your interview.
-Chow before going cos the worms in your tummy will gain free entry visa to all parts of your Gastrointestinal tract before you even get to talk to the VO. You can also say you don't have your prepaid courier envelope and you'll be asked to go get it after writing your SOP. Then you can use that opportunity to go eat/drink something. Won't be fun watching those security guys pulling out plates from the microwave and 1-litre sprite bottles by 11am while you wait for your interview with growling stomach.
-You might also be given a written test as the dude before me got softened with some math questions.

Ciao.

Hello house,

I am sorry to digress a little. Please does anybody have a sample of the sponsor letter. My sponsor needs it to be sure of what to write. Just the way the German embassy wants it. I will be most grateful if anyone can help me with a sample of this... My email is aluko.timothy4@gmail.com

Please what's your definition of a "top school"?

its not a handwritten letter, your sponsor needs to make an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde in his city.

They would give he/she a date to come in, as well as the required documents to bring along to verify that he/she is suitable to be your sponsor for your visa. It cost 25€

Once your sponsor has fulfilled all the necessary requirement, he would be issued a document, which is the sponsorship letter, duly stamped. that is the sponsorship letter. He needs to send the copy to your, as the embassy needs to see the original format. You can ask that he/she scans it before sending it via courier, as you would need it for requesting a date for your visa interview.

All what your sponsor needs from you is your full name (as it appears on your passport) date of birth birth and your address here in Nigeria (for the courier).

@igwejay Thanks bro, i would like to know accommodation for student, student job and life generally in passau .

Passau is a small City in Bavaria of about 55,000. The inhabitants consists more of students. Cost of accommodation varies. You can get a room in the student hostel for 220 euro but you have to apply very early and also keep reminding the international office through email because there are so many people applying too. You can also get accommodation from private landlords which can be between 200 -300 euros depending on how lucky you are. For jobs, there might not too many but I am sure you will get if you search. There are jobs everywhere in Germany, it all depends on how you searched for it, though the semeter ticket or campus card covers only Passau so you can't travel far with it .Sometimes ,city doesnt matter in terms of job in Deutchland , people leave their cities to other cities to work during holiday , not everyone wants to work when school is in section because of the stress. life is okay but there are not too many blacks in Passau so you might be bored at first which is a normal thing in Deutschland. So you need to create your own fun. In terms of academics Passau is good and also have a language school which is free. But if you have another admission in a bigger city, the bigger city might be better.

good day friends,
I am preparing for my interview and would like to ask a few questions:
1. I don't speak or learn german . but my course is in english . how do I explain this to them during interview? hope it won't spite the Visa officer?

2. my birth certificate is from Lagos state mainland local government. I went there to request for the one from national population census but they said they can't issue that one for one born in 1993 the federal government passed a law that it has to be for those born in 1995 (except I want to do fake) can I go to the embassy with the one I have or what do I do?

3. I went for computer training can I tell the embassy this? is it to my advantage or disadvantage? my course is buss admin with informatics.

4. please, what is the specification for the passport photograph for German embassy?

1. I dunno about this but she asked if I spoke German I said No. I do not speak German...when she asked what was I doing towards my preps...then I explained I had applications on my phone that helps.

2. Just do a declaration of age and forget about this...my dad did mine for 200. I dunno how much is charged in other states. You submit the teller as the consulate as well.

3. Answer in detail what you did after graduation... at least you were not idle...computer training is general...everyone makes use of computers this shouldn't hurt.

4. 45mm by 35mm...I didn't trust the photographer so I actually measured it with a ruler. Desperate tins cheesy

Its kind of o, I applied since, yet to get a reply to one the universities, but still believing in God.

Majority do not apply to the TU9 schools of which I don't know why. I plan on applying to the southern schools tho because of proximity to the tech companies and cities like Munich and Stuttgart.

So @Nnamdyjoe which university did you apply to?

A potential sponsor has to live in Germany. Government officials need to know who they are dealing with...his/her status, tax history, income, background etc.

A sponsor from Nigeria or any other country is only allowed to fund your Blocked account.
