There are challenges but the business surges on. Some of us are increasing the number of cars we have on Uber weekly and we are 'business minded' too. Perhaps all we need is better alignment between partners and drivers and a twist of the operational model. I do not see the 20% commission model working any longer. Drivers seem to want to have better freedom and more control, hence, the rental option. Also, ensure you have a solid, enforceable contract with your drivers and build a mutually beneficial playing field.

And PLEASE, avoid greed. Uber is not a 'quick money' scheme. Your RoI on the car may be between 30% to 50% per annum if well managed. Hire purchase and rental are much better options provided you get good drivers. The quality of your drivers and your management determines the results. You are better off building scale than depending on only one or two cars if you see it as business and not a means of employment for you. If your net income (after depreciation, maintenance, servicing, fuelling, toll, etc) is N10,000 to N20,000 per car, you are doing VERY well and scale will give you the return you are looking for.

Hi TokyoBulls,

I sent you an email, kindly revert!

Could it be a function of your route or location?
How frequently, say per week, is business this slow?

Use AXA Mansard. They claim good rates and they respond to claims on time. Most insurance companies do not respond on time and sometimes they do not even pay you because they will ask for tonnes of documents and proofs.

Does uber accept Lexus IS 250 2010 model? Because it's not listed in the list of cars I downloaded from their site.

Pls what's the difference between Uber select and Uber x? I don't understand what they mean by "Lagos only." Or is uber select the VIP option?

Uber Select is the luxury ride option I.e cars with more prestige and more recent models

UberX is the regular older model cars with older specs

The "Lagos Only" means that Uber Select is currently available in Lagos only at the moment

All that was in the link I posted which obviously, you didn't read

Hello,

Are you a diligent and hardworking driver?
Do you intend to be your own boss at some point?
Do you have the required documents to drive on UBER or you have already gone through UBER training?

Then send an email to the address here: admin@angelstartups.com.ng and recruitment@angelstartups.com.ng, with your name and phone number.

A Transport Company operates a "Drive-To-Own" model for diligent drivers.

Regards.

Do you own a 2008 (or newer) car in good working condition in Lagos or Abuja and are looking to earn up to N100,000 per week by putting your car on Uber platform? The same car that currently gulps your money and is easily taunted as a liability can become an asset. You can drive the car yourself, hire your own driver or use one of our hired well trained and professional drivers.

Are you a current driver with a valid driver’s license, Lagos State Driver’s Institute license, excellent customer service and a good knowledge of Lagos and/or Abuja? Are you currently employed but possess these qualities and want to earn more? You can earn up to N120,000 monthly by becoming one of our private Uber drivers. Great thing is you decide your working conditions.

Interested persons can send emails to UberLagosSpectre@gmail.com and UberLagosSpectre@yahoo.com. Kindly share broadly. Thanks

Hi @TokyoBulls, Thanks for the updates and necessary information. I am about to put my car on the UBER platform, I have gone through process. I am at the stage of getting a UBER certified driver. My questions are: Can you recommend a reliable UBER certified driver, What is the best Partner/Driver arrangement based on your experience over the years.
