Plus the temptations

jholam:
So after graduating from the university about a year ago i have'nt got a job. I know most of you will say (just one year and you are complaining.) Well it does'nt matter.

All that matters is that one is without a job and it is extremely annoying and life is boring.
You see adverts everywhere of job openings and you wonder if there are just for show or if people are really getting these jobs.
Once or twice you see a testimony on nairaland that someone just got a job and you begin to pray for your own.
You wait and wait for a miracle because now your degree does not matter again. If you don't have somebody somewhere, 'na only miracle you go hope on.

After going through school, burning mid night candles, going for lectures, doing stupid assignments that lecturers never read and struggling to see that your name is on flimsy attendance cheat for ten marks, what do you get?
Answer - A long stay in your fathers house, waiting for when somebody will visit and dash you money. Because your parents do not have your time again.
Most times, you might even here comments like" abeg do go marry" or better still "you no get boyfriend?".
Sometimes you begin to wonder what went wrong but in the end, what can one do but hope for a miracle.

Life is hard o. Especially if you are unemployed and a girl in naija.

A friend of mine once asked this question:

Before we went to school there were no jobs, what makes us feel there will suddenly be jobs after we graduate?

Bottom line is learn a skill... If a job requiring a graduate comes along, good! If not, ur skills will keep u going.

From the ops comments also. It's obvious she just went to school for going sake. She didnt really learn much other than getting a paper.

As a guy I share your pains cos we are in the same boat.

People keep saying start something, do this do that
But the question is this

Do doesn't want to be a boss of his!/her own
The problem. .....NO CAPITAL

WE ALL HAVE DREAMS WE DESIRE TO FULFILL, WE WANT TO MAKE IMPACT BUT IN NIGERIA......

the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer so how do you want to start a biz

As a girl some parents are gullible to tell their daughter to go and marry her husband will take care them, the results? She turns to a liability.

This is what God is saying to you this August:
And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the Caterpillar, and the Palmer worm. Every withering areas of your life shall receive Life, Amen! Happy new month.

I feel you. Go and learn something..... Even if you get a job in the long run, you know you have a backup. Many people after losing their jobs end up being miserable (no insult intended) all because it has only been about 'white collar jobs'.

that's the "wrongest" comment to ever give to a girl

-go and get married- -don't you have a boyfriend-

that's why naija girls are always on the receiving end of penury, emotional distress, heartbreak divorce... and even rape!

so boys don't suffer too?

these kinds of comments have so brainwash our girls that they see being in a relationship as a means of survival or a means of getting to greener pastures..

tell me why boiz won't do the "unnecessary" to them.

#hardworking girls are a plus to theor husbands..and when a hard working girl meets a successful man, its an explosion of success wink
