This is a private company, no due process or rule of engagement can be enforced here. As for why most foreign owned companies (and many Nigerian ones that can afford it) choose non Nigerians for sensitive posts, it has to do with trust issues. Most Nigerians put their own interests (esp where egunje is concerned) far above that of the company where they work, and this attitude will eventually run it into the ground.

As for the slave mentality issue, you are correct in that it exists, but wrong as to what causes it. No one can be made a slave without his own consent (and active participation). If he has the attitude of a slave, he will be treated as one. The way many Nigerian workers behave towards their superior officers is appalling, to be sincere. It does not engender respect, and many can sell their self esteem for 'garri money', I am sorry to say. Taking 'gifts' has a lot of drawbacks, believe me.
