I'm slightly febrile right now and I have a question for you (girls/women) all.
We all know our cuntr-, sorry country is hopelessly patriarchal. That's well and good. We also know that day by day, women are gaining ground in regards to equality and achievement. That's good too.

But what about the highest job in a nation that one can aspire to. Presido. What about instead of Sai Baba, we have Sai Mama. Almost all the best rulers of Europe both "back then" and now, are females. America is probably gonna have its first female Ogapatapata in a couple months. And she's one of the most qualified candidates in recent history, so I'm sure she's gonna do *thumbs up*

Now I know some Nigerians have sworn that even some ethnic groups should never see a presidency, not to talk of females who are virtually universally demeaned. So it's far off from now.
But I would rly be encouraged to know that any single one of you ladies wants to be president. Or knows a female that wants to be, or plans on having a daughter that will be. I think it's a beautiful thing to aspire to.

Do you think America really wants a female president or that Clinton's opponent -Trump- is just despicable and they are left with no choice ?

lol they're sexist too. Doesn't mean that she won't win or that she's not super-qualified. At this point, I care less about what they think then about whether or not she will win.

I thought about this briefly and I'd rather serve in the senate or house of rep if life leads me to politics(I'm interested in NGOs for now but never say never rii?). I'm more interested in law creation and reformation.

I'll support a Qualified woman for president as I will a Qualified man.

Hillary Clinton is a very slimy fuktard, maybe even more so than Trump. records of extra judicial killings authorised by her have been made public and even more shìt is going to hit the fan in the coming weeks with them Julian Asange and Snowden warming up on the sidelines with the dirt they have on her.

I think she's going to win tho',but mostly because people hate trump more than her.

And believe it or not, most women Presidents/Prime ministers have been doing a shìtty job lately. I used to consider Angela Merkel to be up there with the best of them but her decision to open Germany's borders to refugees, while good-intentioned, was ultimately ill-advised and now her party is being voted out of public offices.
Look at Dilma rousseff, impeached just 2 months ago and will probably be on trial very soon for bribery and other stuff.
look very closely and you'll begin to see a pattern emerging: Diezani Alison-Madueke,Patience Dame,Stella Oduah.
Ask any guy with a female boss and chances are he'll have an unsavoury tale or two to narrate. Women have a long track record of gross abuse of power and trying to undermine men every chance they get.
The men in power aren't any better but they have a slightly higher percentage of success.
That said,I'll love for Nigeria to have it's first female president in the near future. As long as a party can put forward a viable candidate,I'll vote for her happily.

@ Iamlegend1
If your really believe that your first sentence.... then I'm actually disturbed. I hope u were just saying it to increase the male bravado and hyping on this thread because if you actually believe that Hillary Clinton is "a slimy ...tard even worse than Trump" then I'm actually kinda sorry for u.

All the drones they've been unleashing in the Middle East are what exactly? "Judicial" killings? The take out of Bin Laden was what? Was he tried in court? If the Naija govt eventually gets Shekau would u expect them to take him to court? I can recount one of such from probably every government in every nation in the world. Why are u being unreasonable, govts have dirty jobs to do for Pete's sake. The funny thing is that if she was at the opposite extreme, ppl like yourself would still have a problem with it.

Ppl hate Trump more than they hate her, why?

And your last paragraph. It's just so simplistic. Like never knew u thought like that. Angela Merlkel can't be perfect u know. She can't make the right decision every single bloody time. She's a woman yes, and women are a type of human. I looove Obama but that doesn't mean I find the way he's silently sanctioning human rights violations in subsaharan Africa right. That alone doesn't make me think "mehn, Obama is bleeping up lately".

Angela Merkel is widely regarded as one of the best leaders in the world right now, and one of the best that Germany had ever had. So if u use the refuge crises that the whole world is having to deal with, and that she dealt with in a very humane and decisive way, to say "look she's bleeping up!" Then I'm sorry for u. History will still tell if she made the right decision or not.

Dilma actually improved Brazil's economy as far as I read, before the whole corruption scandal. Interesting to note tho, that her Vice President and then I believe her speaker of the house (the person 3rd in line for the presidency) were also imbroiled in even more serious scandals. Corruption yes, but also all manner of thuggery; one of them even murder.
That brings me to ur point about the Nigerian women. It blows my mind when u use those women as examples because obviously just like in Brazil, society at large is corrupt. While not on Nigerias level, Brazil is a corrupt-oil loving economy and most public officials are doing what would be illegal in saner climes.

Now here's my question. If we're all Nigerians and we all understand that our whole society is corrupt from the top down, and every public official will enrich himself illegally in one form or the other, than why the caterwauling when women do it? They're not doing it because they are women, they're doing it because they are PUBLIC OFFICIALS IN NIGERIA. Stealing and corruption is what their predescesors did, and it's what those who came after them are currently doing. Male, female, hermaphrodite, doesn't matter.

So please, try to be reasonable on this issue. These women only stick out to u because they are women who u think stole. What about the men that you KNOW stole.

As for that whole "women bosses are b*tchy" argument, pick a side. U started off by implying that women don't actually do their work well (either improperly like Clinton and Merkel, or at all like Dima and the Naija ladies). Now ur getting to what I suppose is ur real point. Nobody just likes women in charge, they're so annoying.

Men don't have a better track record as the leaders of nations sweetie. I have to tell that to u point blank. While Bloody Mary was like the worst female ruler Europe had, and they balanced it off with Catherine the Great, Elizabeth, Victoria, Catherine of France etc. the bad male rulers who were even worse than Mary are uncountable and none of the males could ever compare to Elizabeth and Victoria. So the track record isn't even close. Besides, u can't compare two things with totally different sample sizes.

I'm surprised u upset me this much but maybe I'm just disappointed in u.

EDIT: Also, a quick question if u don't mind. If you replaced all the African heads of state with a random (I'm not even saying Harvard educated) woman right now, just a general female with uni-education at around age 50, do u think they would be better or worse off. Or perhaps I should remove the university education bit, cause a lot of the ogas we have rn don't have it. So that would be undue advantage.

the better chance @ cape Verde really got me laughing hard cheesy. A female president won't be bad but I can't even think of contesting in a crazy country like Nigeria.

Even though one knows from experience that the answer is bound to be yes,the sheer starkness and the absurdity of the things going on,the untrammelled egotism and willfullness of the dramatis personae, the callousnous and the madhouse atmosphere from FG-LG levels are such as to compel one to ask if things were actually like this. Ofcus it was..A world of a difference exists between us dear..and for one to think of that alone is laughable to the male folks cus they think with their d!Ck they can't allow a woman to be their president.

Happy New "Year" dearwink
Re: NL Females, Do You Want To Be President? by Oahray: 3:27pm On Oct 04, 2016
Lol @ "Almost all the best rulers of Europe both "back then" and now, are females."

I'm amused each time I see ladies complain about not having opportunities open to men. Is there any public Nigerian office from which women are constitutionally forbidden to aspire to? Haven't women been elected into the National house of assembly? Haven't women been appointed ministers? Has there not been a female speaker of the house of reps? Aren't there female speakers of some Nigerian state Houses of Assembly? So why make it seem like many women have contested for presidency and have failed simply because they are women.

Political power isn't like a business card that you'd be offered whether you ask for it or not. In fact no one would offer you power. You have to take it! You want people to say "oh, you are a woman, and for that reason come and be president." Even the men who have ruled Nigeria did not get there by evoking sympathy and pity. Look at the women who are world leaders... How many became leaders of their nations by playing the victim?

How many ladies can brave the rough political terrain? Buhari contested 4 consecutive times before he finally won the last one. How many ladies can keep trying when they fail, instead of blaming patriachy?

You babes better sit up, ditch your victim mentality and start becoming ambitious. No one is preventing you from being president.

MrsPhyno I thought you left NL.

Re: NL Females, Do You Want To Be President? by IamLEGEND1: 4:30pm On Oct 04, 2016
If you were under any illusions about how serious I was regarding Hillary, then allow me to clear your doubts-
HILLARY is a piece of shìt and so is Trump. Folks love her two-timing husband more than her and that says a lot.
Hell,I'll pick GEJ over those two.

So governments have dirty jobs to do,doesn't mean we have to sacrifice our basic human dignity on the alter of peacekeeping. Being in a position of power doesn't mean you're better than the rest and you get to play God. The middle east is a war zone and The U.S's intervention is legal as far as I know. But Russia's role in the Syrian civil war is something else entirely, but that's a different story for another day.

Like I said,Merkel's decision was well-intentioned but in the end, very destructive.
For every state leader out there of any gender, Goodwill is something everyone of them has to spend copious amounts of time building but it only takes one catastrophic decision, and everything comes crashing down....the effects of which are even more pronounced for someone leading a country and is constantly in the public eye. that's just the way it is.

We find female bosses annoying not because they're women, but because they're asshöles just like how male bosses turn to total douches trying to get with their employees. and we hate kleptomaniacs who have got their hands in out national cookie jar not because they have vagìnas but because we don't like thieves.

So you ladies have got to make an effort to pull your heads out of your assés and smell the coffee. Your whole last paragraph is basically you pulling out and playing the giant gender card. The sooner you realise that the world is not always against you,the better.

A female president appoints women as her top officials and she's 'empowering' women around the world but a man does the same and the country is regressive.

for your last question, I have no idea.
and I'm glad you're disappointed with my opinions, as I was with yours. but na only so our love fit grow. but we won't have kids though, coz I'm sure you'll blow my head off with a shotgun someday and I don't want you raising orphans.

I thought this would be the best platform to ask this kinda random question. U missed me shey.

I never complained or whined, I think. I just asked. I'm genuinely interested in meeting a Nigerian lady that wants to be president.

And u should really not use Buhari as an example lol.

@ SafariGirl
Thank u, I didn't know. Its so disheartening. She ran for some public office in like 2011, I'm reading, and some guy rigged her out of office. She went to INEC and still nothing. Sometimes I think Nigeria is cursed. Like, we don't even like good things/good ppl. We pay them with evil for their good deeds.

@ iamlegend1
Don't worry, like most feminazi's I don't like guns

How is Hillary a piece of sh*t? She's actually a humanitarian. People loving her cheating husband more than her says nothing other than that ppl are sexist. That's nothing new.

Basic human dignity and u like Trump more than Hillary. Geez.

Whether or not Merkel's decision was a disaster remains to be seen, my only point is; that if u use that single supposed "failure" as one of ur many reasons why women haven't done well in public office than ur sexist too. She can't do everything perfectly. No man ever has. She's a politician, not God.

Lol well studies have shown that this "assh*le" behavior u say women have is just women acting like men. Which once again is my point. Women do exactly what men do, and get criticized more harshly. Why? Same thing with the Nigerian ministers. Ur only so hung up on it cause they're female. U have to at least admit that Nigerians hate Oduah and co, more than they hate Tinubu and co. All of whom are "known" thieves. The only difference is gender.

What gender card? I'm not saying anything other than stop being hypercritical of women because they're women. Cause it's lame and sexist.

Ur very good at riling ppl up, then disarming them. Thank ur God. Cause I would have e-bitten u.
Re: NL Females, Do You Want To Be President? by IamLEGEND1: 6:20pm On Oct 04, 2016
She's a humanitarian? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha......... are you seriously this naïve?

You know who else has been championed as a humanitarian and nominated for a Nobel peace prize? Henry Kissinger, that's who. Oh! AND Fidel Castro AND Josef Stalin. Throw Adolf Hitler in there too.
So you see,not everything is as it seems.
I don't like Hillary because I don't like snakes (literally & figuratively). At least Trump puts his own crazy out there for the world to see.

Merkel's decision was a disaster.simple as that. You invite a stranger into your home, the first thing he does is smash up your living room, even took a sledgehammer to your 95" flat screen TV. Then to top it all off,he proceeded to ràpe your wife & daughter. But no matter, I can see why you'll think letting that stranger in wasn't a terrible decision. I admire your logic. it is impeccable.
I know I'm supposed to feel like some prehistoric monster when someone so much as insinuates that I'm sexist but honestly.....I don't give a shìt.I couldn't even if I tried.

I don't care about your gender. if you padded our National budget or diverted $20million worth of public funds for your personal use, you should be tried. The Law is absolute, gender notwithstanding.so calm your raging feminazi tittìes.

If I am guilty of any bias at all, then it'll be for my overwhelming support for women.
You of all people should know that I got nothing but mad love for you ladies.

Adolf Hitler? When ppl start drawing false comparisons to Hitler is when one knows to stop.

Gender notwithstanding is actually what I (and Mrs Clinton, btw) believe in. Just check out the general hypocrisy in everything you've spouted, women this women that. And then u said "gender notwithstanding". The key here is holding ppl to the same standard. One day you'll understand. I have hope for u.

Lots of the current female leaders are making terrible mistakes, the ones waiting in the wings don't look all that promising either.(Hillary mah niggah cool ).
If you mess up,expect to be called out on it. But of cause, women and playing the victim card are like couldn't find that Jacob Zuma picture[/img]
so owning up to your shortcomings is not an option. whoever has the audacity to so much as point them out is sexist.

I do not think America cares so much about gender at the moment. They are looking at what each person has to offer. They are looking at policy rather than gender..If Hillary has hands down what they want, if they see her past as something they can accept, they would not think twice.about voting for her. If she was contesting against a am an of like characteristics(all things being equal) the po may be balanced. It would be a hard battle but people may not vote based only on gender in such situation
