Are you a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria? If yes, this thread is for you!

As we all know, getting material/study notes to enable one read for their exam is hell.

I have opened this thread so we can share/sell amongst ourselves if we have them, for the various levels, against the April diet exams.

Contact me on thatnupeboy@gmail.com for more info!

As an accounting graduate, you ll be exempted from all foundation papers(4)..You ll start from PT1 - PT3..

For the exemptions, you ll pay 4k per paper and non refundable fee of I think 3500..making 20,500 in all.

Money for PT1 exam, is 31k...each paper costs 6k.., non refundable and some other charges makes it 31k approximately.

Did I forget to mention 11500 for registration b4 paying for exemption?

I just wrote my PT1 exams..going to PT2 now, by His grace. The courses for PT1 are Quantitative techniques, Income Taxation, Indirect Taxation and Revenue Law.

they have 2diets in a year. one in April and the other in October. getting their reading material shouldn't be a problem. just mail me.

Do I need to get my BSc transcript before I can register and write the Pt1 stage? Do you go for lecture or you only read those materials?

Going for lectures is a waste of time. I can assure u that when u read on your own, you ll be better than the so called tutorial takers in these study classes.

before you can enjoy the exemptions and start your PT1, you ll need to have your B.sc cert or transcript and your NYSC cert to be signed by a chartered tax person (which is not a problem). but I ll suggest you start preparing now, so u ll have a sail through.

I must state here that during this hard time facing the country, TaX is where the money is.

ICAN is the best but u must know that with the development of accounting softwares, chartered accountants might lose their relevance soon. CITN? If u work with a revenue house, u are extremely gud. With the dwindling oil revenue, CITN will soon become very relevant because the fed. Govt and every state will be forced to look inwards to generate revenue.

CIMA is not a bad idea. Buh i dont knw much about it.

But I wanna know if a CITN professional can do what an ICAN professional does?
