(10-2=cool
8 x 10 =80

The brief case is 10
The newspaper is 2
The 4 books are = 10

Therefore : 10 - 2 x 10 :
Simply put; 8 x 10
= 80

gbanikiti:
let A represent suitcase
B represent tabloid
C represent books

A + A = 20, Therefore A = 10
A * B = 20, therefore B = 2
C / B = 10, therefore C = 20

A - B * C = ??
substituting,
10 - 2 * 20 = ??, BODMAS rule
10 (-2*20) = ??
10 (-40) = ??
10 - 40 = -30. answer

No, pay attention to details.

10 + 10 = 20
10*2=20
20 divided by 2 = 10
10-2*20=160

No dear, pay attention to the details. You would notice the newspaper is reduced from 2 pieces to 1 in equation 2 and 3 respectively.

Then also take note of the change in colour of the books.

Final answer is -22

10-2*16 = -22

There are 4 books and each book worth the value of 4
no sir, check the newspapers in all the equations and compare again

dejt4u:
-22

update: my answer is -6

10 - 2 x 8 = - 6 (each book = 2, each newspaper = 1, each portfolio = 10)

note: equation (2) contains 2 newpapers,
equation (3) contains 5 books and 1 newspaper,
equation (4) contains only 4 books and 2 newspapers

Bro, please give a better breakdown as to how you arrived at -6. You could mention me. Thanks

The way you calculated it, you didn't take note that there was a change in the number of newspaper. Look at the two I circled.

And also the pile of books in equation 3 is 5 pieces but it was reduced to 4 pieces on the last equation.

You would have to solve towards that.
