What those people experience are revelations of what would befall non believers , sinners and people who reject God and the triumph of the saved who will be with God eternally .

Just like the Revelation written by John , he made references to future events with expressions like "And I saw ... " . Same thing with all those people who "died" .

The stories seem different but there's one fact , the sinners will be tormented day and night - a total separation from God forever .
