Thanks for viewing this thread...

Please I created this thread to seek for relevant solution to what I'm currently facing.

I was offered admission into a polytechnic last year December & the school has resumed since last week, but I couldn't resume with my colleagues because there's no money at all to even pay my acceptance.

Yesterday, my parents were able to gather the required cash for my registration & immediately my mother went to deposit the cash in my account & I received the credit alert.

Unfortunately, when i woke up today, i got this disheartening message from GTBANK
"Dear customer, your a/c xxxxxxxxxx has exceeded the limit of #300,000 and has been restricted. Please visit a Gtbank branch with a utility bill & regulatory ID"

This is the real problem:
1. I'm just 18 years old & I don't have any regulatory ID (National ID, PVC, Passport, Drivers License ). Although, I've done the registration for National ID in December but I was told it'll be ready in January ending.

2. The deadline for registration in the school I was admitted to is Next week

What do you think I can do

PLEASE, ADVICE ME!!!

This is urgent,

You did not open the regular savings account I guess, your account is a student account which has a limit of funds that can be credited into it.
I believe you must have been told about the features of this type of account but your refuse to adhere to it.
Next time, tell your mum to credit you in tranches in other not to exceed the credit limit.

Solution :This is base on my experience with a particular bank not Gtb.Go to any branch of Gtb close to you, meet the branch manager, explain things to him, make you cry as you dey talk to am o grin.As a manager he can over-ride the transaction after the cashier must have debited your account,it all depends on how you show truthfulness in your expalaination. If he insist he cant and is a must you present either a National ID card, drivers license or international passport to enable you upgrade to a normal savings account which I believe you dont have, ask him if you can fill a reference form to upgrade your account,if he says yes, then your someone to fill this form for you,the person must present either of the identity I mention above with utility bill of where he reside.

go to the bank near your school with all other valid document you have . also take along your school credentials to show them what the money is for.
