I'll advice you attend any workshop on shoe / bag making; learn a few tricks and get going.. Goodluck

Firstly, even before buying those items:

1. Get a brand name and logo
2. Make sure your brand name is free for a .com domain. E.g. SMshoe.com
3. Create a twitter, Facebook and instagram profile with your brand name as it's username.

4. Then you should attend a workshop. Trust me, you need it.

5. Get your business plan.

6. Start your business.

Just believe and you'll make it.

if you do not know the instruments to use that simply means you don't know how to make a shoe. Learn how to make a shoe and the instruments will be the least of your worries

A well established shoe and bag making industry should help

It is nice and good idea that you want to be a boss of your own. Nigeria is a ready made market any day any time but the other side is that things get over saturated and crowded immediately people sees that its working....

like some have said, go for training...

while going through the training, you can begin to write out your business plans in paper. Start with possible brand name(s), forget logo for now. From brand name your logo can be designed.

The most important of all, are going to learn how to make shoes just like the way you will be taught or you will create something better, different from any other shoe maker?? Have your own design that will set you apart from the rest...

My advice is for you to go to Aba and learn the trade. Aba has a large collection of both small and medium scale shoe business.

They are some schools built by Fashola... Nd you can learn from there, that's if you are in Lagos.. You can also learn from friends... Incase you have friends who are good in shoe making.

I also deal on leather for making those shoes, sandals.. My outlet is located in Mushin. Incase you need more advice... Then holla at me...

1.....u need money.......
2.....get an expert shoemaker....walk up to him\her n disclose ur intention to learn the work...u'll strike a bargain on the amount ur tutor will collect n schedule a time for learning as it is convenient for you..
......I don't support all those 2,/3 days training bcoz it may amount to waste of effort....only d surface of d business z scratched
3...Learn,practice n ask questions.....buy materials n practise making shoes for ursef,our siblings,friends etc....

op u are not ready to start the shoe making business if u are coming here to ask such a question. with the endless resources on google u preferred to come to nairaland. if to say u ask us where u can buy the materials, it would have evn made much sense. as it is, u seem clueless about shoe making. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE REQUESTING FOR ASSISTANCE
