President Muhammadu Buhari's Media Aide, Bashir Ahmaad has said, President Buhari, Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and All Progressive Congress (APC) never promised Nigerians to make $1 = N1

Typical of APC and their several denials, forgetting the internet NEVER FORGETS....you can fool some people some time but can't fool everyone all the time.

Here's the video:

It is evil to think that this same promise the APC rode on to win the heart of Nigerians is the same promise they blatantly deny, why deny it now when it obviously seem impossible to achieve?

The newspappers you have posted dont have any statements in them to support your claim.

According to your InformationNG link
The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office.

Speaking during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri, the former head of state expressed the current value of the naira does not speak well for the economy.

“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,” he said.

Funny the almighty mod Mynd44 locked a thread i opened to expose the denial because Buhari did not use the exact words "I will equal $1 to N1"

Yes APC went to work and removed the YouTube video...good job.

I really don't know if the mod is one of APC apologists
or a paid e-warrior but time will eventually tell and nemesis will eventually catch up...If he is a paid e-warrior I hope seun also gets a share from the money he his getting from APC (he should not chop the money alone).

The mod Mynd44 said I was passing a wrong information...is he saying the reputable media outfits I mentioned up there don't know what information is right or wrong? Hmmmm.

Does the mod Mynd44 or APC members (Nairaland Chapter) love APC more than Omojuwa that reported this same news on his blog?

The educational system in Nigeria truly produces wonderful things; how can one produce an automatic voice-over piece of trash as VIDEO EVIDENCE that Buhari made a statement?.. and then he strangely goes ahead to furnish us with the exact words of Buhari as seen below:

“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said.

So @KingOfAmebo, kindly explain how you arrived at the interpretation of "I will make $1=N1" from the statement above because ayam not understanding?

‘APC never promised to make naira equal to dollar’

The Nation
March 25, 2015

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation has debunked reports that its presidential flag bearer, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, promised to make naira equal to a dollar, if voted into office.

The party said Buhari only described the economic situation, where the value of the naira dropped to N230, as unacceptable.

Deputy Director, Policy and Strategy of the APC Campaign Organisation, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, made the clarification yesterday at the closing session of the Nigeria Political Party Debates Series (NPPDS), organised by Centre for Democracy and Development in Abuja.

The debate was titled: “Manifesto Hour: Political Parties and Citizens”.

Abdullahi, a former minister of Youth, stated that the former Military Head of State was wrongly reported in the media.

He said: “On the issue of Gen. Buhari saying that he will bring naira at par with dollar, I want to say it clearly here that Gen. Buhari never said so. He did not say so. If you are implying on the media report, I want to say that we are protesting to the media organisation that reported that.

“If you read the body of the story, you would have noticed that there was nothing in the body of the report that quoted as saying, ‘I will bring Naira at par with dollar’. He only said it is unacceptable that dollar will be exchanging for N230.”

On project continuity, the former minister said the party would improve on those projects considered beneficial to the people, adding that those that did not represent interest of the people would be terminated, if elected into office.

I'm not sure you actually read those links. If you did, then you didn't pay attention. If you did, then you would have noticed a recurring theme.
---
First of all, as it has been noted by @Mynd44, there is no quote of the President saying those exact words. The content of those articles were completely inconsistent with the title. Secondly, all the proper sources quoted from NAN. Is it not curious that the president made such a statement in an open campaign ground in Owerri, yet it was only NAN that carried the original story.
---
@KingOfAmebo tried but I dare him to show me any other credible tabloid that carried that news independently without quoting from NAN. They all carried the story because it was sensational and would attract readership, but they were very careful to include the source (NAN). That way they would exonerate themselves if push comes to shove.

Op, why bother yourself so hard, don't you understand what a zombie is?

They might as well fall over themselves to force us to believe that it's equally a lie that:

- a bag of rice was less than 10k before@ MB became president in 2015;

- that hundreds of multinationals have sacked thousands of Nigerians andwithdrew their investment worth billions in hard currency since @MB became president;

- that the cost of fuel per litre was less than #120 before @MB became president;

- that the Nigerian Economy wasn't the strongest in Africa and one of the fatest-growing in the world before @MB became president;

- that the Nigerian Economy wasn't in recession before @MB became president;

- that the list is endless...

They will argue all of these and many more I don't want to rack my brain to type here.

But all in all, we are more than conquerors!
