Do it yourself. Refer to the student thread cos it helps. Just try to apply as early as possible.

You have done more than this to now harshly refer people who come in this tread to seek for advise. If I know what to do I won't be here. However I may still get help elsewhere thanks.

You asked about agents and I suggested the DIY method, what makes that harsh? I suggested the student thread because everyone in there are students which ensures you get right and updated information, isn't that fair enough? You can go search an agent and I pray it works well for you and suite your expectation.

Good morning my Ogas,

I'm in USA presently on visit visa, I'm planning to enroll for a 3weeks course in canada. The school replied me that I can attend the course using visit/tourist visa. They also promised to send me letter if I pay certain amount of money.

My questions are:
Should I apply to canada using the school or I should apply for tourist visa, then on getting their I'll enroll to the school [Ontario]?

If I'm applying for tourists visa, like how long would it take sir?

My course schedule is March next year, when do you think I can apply?

Can I apply here [online] in America or I should wait till I return to Nigeria?

Suggestions of needed documents?

My wife was refused USA visa twice, can I apply with her if you suggest I go through Canadian tourist/visit visa or I apply alone?

Thanks

I don't have PR yet , but I am on study permit. My friend husband is doing nursing after first degree ( med lab). He is doing the 2 years RN program at York university Toronto ( will be done by August) and he got OSAP(Ontario student Assistant program) for the program. I know he did some psychology periquisite at Trent or online.

What information do you need exactly I can help ask.

Oh Pinky, thanks alot.

Is there anyway i could ask him directly? Email maybe?

I truly do not have the right response to the issue however, I would suggest you apply for a visit visa and take the program while you are here. I don't know if the rules are changed but before now, you could take such short courses on a visiting visa. As for your wife, it would be nice to apply with her as a family.

This is a Living in canada thread oh! all these questions about visas and study, etc etc. There are threads for obtaining canadian visas. This unfortunately isn't one of them. Kindly posty your questions on the appropriate thread to get useful responses. This thread is only 3 pages long and is way too early to start getting jumbled with posts not related to the topic of discuss.

Your post begs a lot of questions. You may get better responses if you are more detailed with your situation and questions. for instance, what kind of visa are you on? where are you traveling to? what are you studying towards? etc etc etc

Let us abide by going to the appropriate thread and give people that can gain from here the chance to.

You can get answers to your questions if you ask in the correct thread:

Questions about visa and schools: https://www.nairaland.com/3315266/travelling-canada-part-11/404
This thread has a wealth of information and started from Part 1, each part with up to 400 pages. Your answers must be there, if they are not, the gurus of that thread will answer you. You can as well take out time, settle down and read. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Then for Express Entry/FSWP, go to:
https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

You too will need the info this thread (Living in Canada) has to offer when the time comes.

Let's make it work.

You could also do well to read my comment without responding. On such threads like this, we promote DIY as such the need for me to comment. We do not encourage the use of agents thus I only reiterated our beliefs.

You don't own the blog either and you have no reason to ask people not to respond to any post here. This is a public forum. I have had enough of your DIY advise. Thanks it's not working and someone not an agent here has graciously volunteered to put me through since you can't be of help

Thanks @vcole on studying that's for my masters. I want to work towards Canada most likely and I haven't gotten any visa yet.although a lot of people say the States is easier and faster I don't want to go there with a visiting visa and be stranded.
most importantly my travelling is solely for myself and kids. better opportunities and all. I hope this helps in answering .thanks again.

Good evening house, I have a little question for the house.
Me being a permanent resident does it guarantee my spouse permanent residency when I get married?
If yes how do I file for her and what documents do I need? Thank you

Nice information here, at least the first two pages. Unfortunately, the thread has started derailing because of questions not related to the thread. It will be nice if we stick to the purpose of this thread and other questions posted to other threads meant for such.

Depends on what you filled on your form while applying for your PR. Single or married?
Nevertheless, you can file for her after you have concluded the marriage legally and see how it goes.
There is a thread for Spouses in nairaland

Good morning house, would be good to read from people in Toronto/Vancouver. Especially families with kids, they're experiences to date and whether migrating to either of these cities is a good idea
I presently work in the finance sector and my hubby IT, and I would love us to be in an environment where both our careers and family lives would thrive.

yes but it could take up to a year or even more depending on visa office and on a case by case basis.
