No it is not a must. different affiliate marketers have their own strategies. for me personally i only use squeeze pages. below is an example of a squeeze page.
Tnx for replying all my questions is really helpful.
Does some affiliate programs use the squeeze page or all of them?
and how can one go about it. I want to start asap. tnx for the prospective answer

Op you are doing a great stuff.A lot of Nigerians have very little knowledge about affiliate marketing.Bloggers just restrict themselves to google adsense and don't know there is a huge market in for them in affiliate.

Thanks for the info Jagaban. I have few questions for you and I'll be glad if you provide me with the appropriate answers. They are as follows;

1. What is the minimum and maximum number of products I can promote at a time?

2. Do I have to create a squeeze page for every product am promoting? If yes, where would they be re-directed to the moment someone opts-in?

3. Is it possible and advisable to promote different products from different niches at a time?

4. Is my landing page the same as my blog? If yes, can I do as above in question "3" on it?

5. Kindly clear my fear on these ones while I ruminate on the other areas I have questions.

Thank you.

1. for my affiliate marketing i mostly use clickbank and i promote not less than 5-10 different products at a time and i have never heard of any limitation to number of products you can promote.

2. yes. every new product you want to promote needs a unique squeeze page. the squeeze pages can be on a single domain and hosting. this is the reason why i advice buying general name domains instead of niche specific domains. e.g supercourses over looseweight dot com. the reason is that you want to promote many products on the same domain. it will not look wise to promote make money products on looseweight domain.

3. yes if you can handle it. no if you cant. i personally promote any product in most niches if i have an hungry traffic for it. but this does not in anyway mean that a person subscribe to my make money list and i will start sending him dog training promotions. i will never do that.

4. a landing page is the page you direct your visitors to. if i say a landing page in this context i basically mean a squeeze page. a squeeze page is a single page where you collect potential buyer email addresses. partly answered in 3 above

5. visitors to your squeeze page are potential buyers. if they optin to your list, they are interested and most likely willing to buy. after subscribing to your squeeze page they should be redirected to your hoplink. that is the product you are promoting using your unique hoplink. if they buy instantly fine, if they dont, you already have their mails and your mailing series will follow them up.

As you have mentioned in the "affiliate jagaban ote (goldmine)" that we should "customize our blogger page". Right cool? Then my question is that you should please give me an insight in to what is expected to be done and not-to-do on the page . Just give/paint me a general idea of what to do at this stage. Thank you sir in anticipation.

below is a sample squeeze page. you will customize your blogger to look like it. most of the products you want to promote already have a squeeze page. you will just have to customize the page to look like the vendor's squeeze page you are promoting.

I went to his site and what I saw was funny. For example he said he makes $20 per product, 30 sales per day and $2700 per month. Oga! You need to sale products in the of $600-1000 to make $20. You mean you sale 30 products in that range per day? This is just one example o.
Oga don't just deceive people because you want to sale your ebooks sir.

Dabss:
My people, the best way to understand affiliate marketing is through proper research (free). No successful marketer will sale you his secret for even $100.

Dabss, pls dont make jest of something you dont know. People actually makes millions from here in a single sale(eg being a MOBE affiliate), i can site you samples..

Also, there is nothing like mentorship, if you like read all and do all the research that you can, without a mentor you can never climb that height in no time. There are equivalent obstacle behind every successful moves/goals which only mentorship can scale you through such and quicken your pace else you stand frustrated despite your numerous research. Every successful great person on earth had an equivalent successful coach(s) as a mentor( be it billionaires; entrepreneur; sports, just to mention but a few)

I have bought his e-books, and i tell you, who ever would study that book and steak to his guide will become a millionaire this year. His books are truely very loaded. I bought equivalent of just one third of his material from a reknown international expert for 47 dollars for just one-third one third of his info, i repeat,( here he is giving you all for just 3k naira) and those things written in them by the international expert will not work for Nigerians because of the barriers we are being subjected to (i guess i understand Virus when mentioned relocating to US to practice his). But Jagaband has espunch some of those limitations/secrets in his book and you will definitely need his mentorship as a practicing fellow in Nigeria to submerge those barriers. I dont know him ,i have never discussed with him( except when he called me when i had difficulty downloading his e-book through the payment platform i paid with my master card), but through his books , i truly love him, and i surrender under his mentorship, though i'm yet to speak with him.

So don't misinform on what you don't know

that is a major challenge i have always noticed with some Nairalanders. in the real sense they actually do not know anything but they just assume they know and start posting things that will ridicule them. thanks soo much for chipping in bro. your success is truly my pride.

If only you knew better. Vendors are ready to give you 100% on a $17 product. And you ask yourself, how do they make their own money? You will never know cause you do not research and what you don't know is what kills you.

Yes aff marketing is hot. I'm planning on dropping out to focus on aff cpa/Seo/marketing. Sometimes I make some people's monthly salaries in a day. One thing with Nigerians is that we are scared to invest.. I wasted lot of cash and time(100k+) doing testing(Bing ads/google AdWords to collect leads/seo). But now I've made lot of cash from aff marketing and planning to relocate to US to continue.

Good morning sir. I am a new affiliate marketer, I am interested in aff CPA/seo marketing. Can you tell me more about it. Can we talk on phone?

I find that this thread is very educational for anybody who wish to pursue affiliate marketing. It also exposes the importance of education and learning about specific job before you actually enrol it. It is better to learn what are potential mistakes in advance, then to actually make them
