The best is to avoid going to abuja now by air. Its best to go by road to abuja from any part of the country now cos with security check point on every 5km on the kaduna- abuja road, when you calculate filght delays and add the time you will spend on the abuja-kaduna road, that is equal to the time you will spend by road if you travel from lagos -abuja by road and with our bad roads, mhen abuja na no go area for now. I bind every official trip to abuja from my office this period in Jesus name. Holy Ghost fire! |

Security checkpoints every 5km!!! Hmmm...I can imagine the traffic. Ordinary one checkpoint on the airport road before the University, you see the chaos it causes. A far better alternative to all this waste would have been to build a second runway then close the current one for repairs; you'd end up with an airport with two runways. Now with all this, we will still have an airport with one runway and a useless Kaduna airport that no one will use after 6 weeks...Ok we will have a fairly good expressway to Kaduna. maxzzo1:Minna is linked to Abuja by a single lane carriageway..... While kaduna Abuja road is a dual carriageway. Also kaduna is linked by a standard gauge rail to Abuja. And a second runway for Abuja will take time and far more cash. Plus.... The Abuja runway is in a bad state. I landed there on a flight from the East last month. It was a bumpy landing. 1 Like |

BRISTOL HELICOPTER SHOULD RATHER PROVIDE HELICOPTER SHUTTLE BETWEEN MINNA AIRPORT AND AN ALTERNATIVE AREA WITHIN ABUJA MUNICIPAL AREA - NOT THE SAME AIRPORT UNDERGOING REHABITATION. OTHERWISE THIS WILL AMOUNT TO NO WORK DONE (MOVING IN CIRCLES) AND DISTRACTION TO THE ONGOING REHABITATION DRIVE. |
