Peace corps of Nigeria have started their training in Benue state, for almost a week. Those in Benue camp pls tell us how is the nature of the training, what are we expected to take to camp?

What is the lastest information from your state regarding peace corps. Benue have stated, here in Nasarawa no date yet.

Anambra will be going on the 15th (next week Wednesday), they are supposed to organised it well so that all the state will go for the training at the date.

ebonyi state are preparing to enter camp on 15/02/17 but we are been ask to pay some fees like camp fees N5000 and kit fees 3000

Benue Camp update the house on the training so far? Or is there no nairalander in Benue Camp( Jesus College Otukpo)

Nasarawa State and FCT Abuja combine camp in Bwari LG (Dorben Polytechnic) this saturday 18/02/2017.

The camp in Kwara state was dispersed on Friday by the police. They claimed the peace corps didn't notify them of the camp. But sources claimed that the police were asking for settlement in millions. That since volunteers paid a lot of money, they want their own share.
Imagine what the country has turned into.
Anyway, seems the issue has been resolved and the candidates have been asked to report back to camp on Tuesday 21st of Feb.

PEACE CORPS ENGAGES CALABAR GARMENT FACTORY TO PRODUCE 100,000 UNIFORMS
The massive investment made by the Cross River State government with the establishment of the Calabar Garment Factory has started yielding fruits as the Peace Corps of Nigeria, weekend, engaged the garment outfit to produce one hundred thousand pieces of uniforms for its officers and men.
Under the terms of the contract, the Calabar Garment Factory is to produce 40,000 pieces as the first consignment, with an additional 60,000 thousand to be produced later.
The Peace Corps of Nigeria is currently being legislated into law by the National Assembly.
Speaking while on a facility tour of the factory and delivery of materials by the corps for the production of the uniforms, the deputy national Commandant in charge of Administration, Mr. Edet Ekpenyong, expressed satisfaction with the fully automated factory and assured of the corps' readiness to synergise with the state government to ensure that the factory performs within its install capacity.
Ekpeyong particularly commended Governor Ben Ayade for his industrialisation drive as well other transformation initiatives currently going on in the state.
His word: "We are here to deliver our materials to the Calabar Garment Factory to commence production of one hundred thousand uniforms for us, but starting with forty thousand units. I am very excited and proud with what I have seen here at the factory. It is very clear that Governor Ayade is doing everything to move the state from a civil service state to an industrial hub. We have been monitoring the activities of Cross River and it has been a beehive of industrialisation activities since Ayade came to power. The state has never been in the media the way it has been since the coming of the present government. Honestly, l am overwhelmed and we are very proud we would be working with the state."
In his response, Governor Ayade said the state government will do everything to help the corps succeed.

Police Arraigns Peace Corps Commandant

The operatives of Nigeria police, have on Monday, March 20, arraigned the national commandant of th peace corps, Amb. Dr. Dickson Akoh in Abuja court.
Akoh who was arrested alongside other senior officers of the Corps and they have been arraigned before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court.

the peace corp has 1.4 billion naira in UBA bank, the money that has been pretentiously collected from gullible youths and employment seekers in Nigeria. In exchange, peace corps promise all of them employment (after yeye training), even when the peace corp don't have the power to do so. undecided

eventually IF (which i doubt very much) the FG assented to the yeye bill, will all those gullible ppl that have paid be employed by FG? Answer is NO!!

PPl (in hundreds of thousand) keep bringing in money to peace corp in exchange for gainful employment while Dickson Akoh and other trustees that registered peace corp at CAC as NGO keeps smiling to the bank ..

So, this is a form of 419, obtaining under false pretense, just like they did years back in federal task force.

So you don't have any useful thing to do than going from forum to forum, don't go and look for work, continue fooling yourself, don't let frustration kill you.
