So many wrong notions. I'm sure you're going by what you told. We've been to and patronized loads of hatcheries in Nigeria and we know what's obtainable regarding standards and practices.

*Zartech doesn't just have the Cobb 500. They also have other strains among other things. So many antibiotics; why not go the organic way?

Green is life smiley

Good luck sir

LOL. All the best sir
EMMAACHILE:

Can you tell me the wrong notions please. Welcome to the thread Mr Turk.

Zartech has the Cobb 500 strain and what's your answer to that?

The only antibiotic here is Est Mix Wsp. Where did you see the many antibiotics? tongue

goodwork @emmachile. u have been good in the poultry biz of nairaland agro section.
In think i support @turks. Try Organic raising and see the difference. too many antibiotics are becoming toxics to human health this days.

What options are available? You don't just say don't give antibiotics. You give substitutes.

EMMAACHILE:

I don't know but in my opinion, I would go with the biggest and certified hatcheries.
My personal best would include but not limited to Tuns, Zartech, Amo, Chi and Agrited

The two biggest producers of broiler in Nigeria are Chi and Tuns while the two highest internationally certified hatcheries are Zartech and Tuns.

Agrited has one of the advanced equipment in Nigeria capable of producing up-to 2,000,000 day old chicks per day.

Amo is known for good research and development program in their hatchery.

So the best will depend on individual choice, Obiageli. Hope my choice will not draw negative attention here kiss

Thanks for your response, we probably should create a topic so as not to derail your thread. Nice work you are doing here

Bros how far? Chicks don come? All of us cannot do organic farming. Those that can do it should face it.

EMMAACHILE:

Withdrawal is barely 12 days. Inorganic doesn't mean it's bad, it simply means it's not organic.

Inorganic means there's always a residue. How many Nigerians follow the withdrawal periods to the letter? This is why our meat and eggs cannot be exported. The yolk and meat when subjected to tests exhibit massive toxic substances not suitable for consumption yet here we are saying inorganic isn't toxic. LOL.

This is me speaking in general terms. smiley

Loads of substitutes. Ever heard of the Tagiri Super Solution? Molasses, LAB, Fermented Ginger and Garlic?. C'mon man. Ask and a solution shall be provided.

As long as you adhere to the withdrawal periods, you are very safe.
Re: ... by Turks: 4:32pm On Apr 06, 2017
Mr EMMAACHILE. Take on me? There's nothing to take on. smiley
EMMAACHILE:

Mr turks before I take on you wink, how do you raise your poultry?
Re: ... by Turks: 4:33pm On Apr 06, 2017
Very few farmers play by the rules. Which brings us back to the same problem.

I know itagiri and I keep them whole where I rear my birds but it's just because we used it to prevent "koli" in those days grin. As for the others, I only got to know about them on NL. I also know about pawpaw leaves and juice but the question is, can these things really be administered when there is an outbreak of disease on a large farm? Will I risk preventing gumboro or ND for less than 2k and be administering agbo to my birds? When someone comes up with a complete organic poultry timetable, I might consider trying it. OR if you offer to guide me I can try it with 100 birds when I have space.

Fear? Naaah. Far from it. Yes I do.
EMMAACHILE:

No fear. I want to know whether you go by the organic way of raising poultry.

LOL. Can you follow our page on IG? Preemah_ You'll see testimonials of people who raised their birds without vaccines or antibiotics. And yes, there's an organic chart
