There are some god worshiping nuts out there who believes we atheists hates their religion..Well we all have a common answer to that one.. So anyway I thought why not flip the question back at them and say "why do they fear atheists".. I have never seen a Christian that trusts in the completed work of Christ do that. Its not even possible to fear anybody anymore since God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2Timothy 1:7 We have the strength and power of God to bear all our afflictions, endure contradictory views and still stand firm by the truth we have believed. Rather the only timid "Christians" I see are those trusting in their good works to earn God's righteousness. Its a sad thing because you don't get to experience any power of the God you claim to believe.It's a life of struggle and no joy. No grace to withstand opposing views. All you get from self righteousness is uncertainty and when atheists throw questions, because you have no life or power of God in you, you begin to fear lest your heart succumb to atheism No Christian should live in fear. That's why we must search and tell ourselves the truth. If Christ is not in us, we know ourselves, then we are no better than atheists who do not believe |

My opinions as to why Christians Fear atheists are; 1) Because underneath it all they understand that thy're arguments tend to be very weak. They feel as though they get a great deal of strength, hope and solace in they're beliefs and they're afraid of losing that if the jarring nectar of reason trickles into their ears. 2) Their hate is the sign of their weakness, they know we are dangerous because we have what they lack, such as - "common sense". 3) Christians fear Atheist because of Hell. The fear of hell is real for them. If only they could open their eyes to reason and let go of the fear of hell and the guilt and shame of sin, they would be free to enjoy life. 4) Add yours |

Hi Adepeter26, Brother.. I don't understand this question? ...."why do they fear atheists".. Fear as in being "scared" of atheists? Now why would I be afraid? What exactly[i][/i] is there to be afraid of? You know what I am? I am deeply & sincerely saddened that such intelligent men could have such flawed views? Say what you want...but something has occurred in you guys' lives that has caused you all to be so allegedly doubtful?
