Whoever has an idea as to when final list would be out should not say so because some people that have been screened out may need information like this to discuss with their godfathers and this would put you at a disadvantage.
Re: Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Course Aspirants(dssc) 2015 by tenderlaw(m): 1:17pm On Apr 24, 2017
Those trying to grumble because they were screened out are simply stupid. Be thankful that you were screened out on medical grounds instead of going to training to die.
One of those screened out on medical grounds (state withheld) died last week in a hospital from illness. Is that the kind of person that could have been allowed to join?
The sensible thing to do is to go get yourself rechecked and treated if medical was the cause, instead of trying to arm twist your godfather to put you in.

@tenderlaw. Is that the same guy that was said to have died in his sleep? If yes, I guess I know the state cos it was announced in camp.

I know the next stage is the training at Onne and by God's grace, I'd make it past that stage.
Please how should we prepare ourselves for Onne? Exercise wise, physically, mentally, etc?
Also, wold they also do certificate screening and medical screening again at Onne?

This guy did not die in his sleep. He fell ill, presented to a hospital and died early the next morning.

The chief who doesn’t know what to say says that his friend has said what he would have said”. why people having a mind boggling complexity? misquoting people sometimes, to ask a question is frustration!!!!

Speaking of medical, in my state (name withheld), I know of five personnel (Ratings) who made the board list but had medical issues, some had HBP (High Blood Pressure), flat foot and two of them are below the required 1.70m. Even when the Captain was calling out the numbers, he had to look at them twice when they responded to their numbers because facially they were far above the required age.
My conclusion, I just believe if you have a strong backing anything can happen even if you're screened out.

The real truth is the Nigerian system has not been poisoned, Nigeria is poison itself. I am 6ft5 aka 1.95 metres, and I am 23 years old. I can do Numerical Analysis of Business problems with ease, so even with my height am no dummy. Without doing a complete Physical Analytics on the morphology of my legs, I was labelled flat footed. It's not that I don't have people that I can call, but have decided to move on. The Nigerian Navy does not deserve people like me. The most painful thing was finding out I was not even flat footed, to add insult to injury am hearing some people with flat foot are still in camp. There is a God, but Nigeria has been forsaken. I have moved on, but I will never forget how the country treats those deserving.

I wish all those who have gotten this far success, and if it doesn't work out just move on. The only constant thing in life is change.

Broda Pijay... The kind of stories these personnels told us whilst in camp eeh. Made it seem like its a death sentence if one eventually make it to Onne.

Well, we are refreshing like you said. What do you think we should strongly consider in preparation in case one makes it. Talking about physically and all that.

Wait o! What's the implication of havin your department changed from the one you applied to originally to logistics or seaman? I heard that people had their departments changed. Is it a guarantee of the job?
