I decided to find out more about Adesua on wikipedia owing to her recent engagement with Banky W when i stumbled upon this striking but quick update. Wikipedia has updated Adesua's biography which includes her being engaged to Banky W. That's so awesome!

For particularly “big” events (as in “important for a large enough number of people”), there are editors literally watching the TV/broadcast while preparing an article. In my experience, many of them are seasoned editors who know the writing style and where to look for reputable sources for a particular event. As soon as it’s reported on a reputable source, it can go on Wikipedia. Also, bear in mind Wikipedia is a global project, don’t focus just on the USA. If the election of a new Pope were relevant to Catholics only, you’re looking at an estimated population of 1.2 billion people on Earth (~1 in 7, see List of Christian denominations by number of members). If only a tiny fraction of those are Wikipedians, you’re looking at thousands of potential eager editors around the world, waiting to report accurately on an event of importance. Source : Quora |
