Good morning all, For those of us hoping to write the Gre by september or subsequent months to come, please can we come together to purchase the magoosh premium account ( the one for 6 month). It is no news that one's success on the Gre is hinge on the amount of practice test he/she went through. Let's come together to be part of eachother's success story. The truth is I have written the exam before but I had a little less than 300. I think I should just say it sef, I had 294 (150Q 144V) but I strongly believe those scores can still increase with enough practice test. masterforceii initially made a post about this, but it appears I am the only one that has contacted him about it so far. Please let's come together to reduce the price burden, we will all benefit from it.

Just look at the options you have and decide what next to do. Your cgpa is good. If you are reapplying, re-write GRE and choose more schools.
I always encourage PhD applicants to apply to many schools, minimum of 6 sef, because that 100% funding is crucial.

I'm in talk with the potential supervisor at Wmich. He said I should go for Msc Spring 2018. Meanwhile, I'm concerned about funding. I have mailed him to ask if funding is available.

Academic background too low? Is the PhD not going to be direct I.e won't you get the MSc enroute to getting the PhD? What are they on about?

I think they don't know how to assess your first degree that is all. I mean, you are a first class graduate with reasonable standardized test scores and they say your background is too low? That is tommyrot.

Try and contact profs before applying. Search for profs that need Students in thier research team. Confirm from their personal webpages then send a mail. If they schedule a phone Interview, your chances are higher
But note a GRE of 306 is tricky,so gun for TOEFL and publish anything to boost your profile. best of luck
