Lawyer can not do anything ....non immigrant visa is at the discretion of the embassy and not a right ..

Also this two different date of birth has put your credibility and application in fraud alert. It also impossible to correct if you have gone twice to the embassy with 2 different DOB.....as there is no reason that can justify two dob ,two passports same person....inconsistencies are a big no no.... .. all the best as u try to sort it out.

Is there any possibility to my case? It's just the year of birth that's different. The day and month is accurate. Is there any chance of me getting a visa? How should I order my answer if the question arises.

Dear VO,

First, in November 2003 I attended an interview at the US consulate in
Lagos, I was denied visa. Currently I'm in Dubai and in 2016 July I attended
an F1 visa interview here but was denied visa. The situation now is in 2003
my DOB was 01.07.1977 but my current passport is 01.07.1981 and my Form
I-20. I was asked by the VO the reason why there was a change of year in my
passport and before I could answer the question I was disqualified on that
ground.

How do I salvage the situation as the same school have re-enroll me with a
full tuition waiver and assistanship to work while studying. How do I defend
this misfortune that has befell me and has been plaguing me since that last
visa denial.

Can I use a lawyer? any information will be of great help.

Thank you in anticipation, waiting for your favorable response.
bro can you kindly tell me the name of the school and their requirements for full scholarship. I'm searching for schools that waive full tuition.

Yes there is. You should first of all admit that you LIED . Don't even try to scuttle a way around it explaining some stories that don't match because they know you lied already. Admitting your mistake is the first step to resolution and If the VO feels like pardoning you, you can get the visa.

I don know if there any answer that can explain this or if you can resolve this .... there is another thread that some VO answer questions. Maybe you can post the question there and see if you can pick their brains

I'm really interested in this.

You mean the embassy pegs its dollar exchange rate at N400 which is a far cry above the official and black market?

Would appreciate more insight and evidence.

Cheerios!

LagosismyHome:

That because our government never do their work so anyone can get away with anything...shame and sad

How can the embassy be using 400 naira to a dollar when black market and abokifix is not up 400. That extortion because ideally it should be "official" rate used. Naija government we hail thee ooo angry angry

Hello House. I am presently doing an undergraduate course in america. I want to transfer to a graduate school because I have done my evaluation with wes- undergraduate(3.12/4.00) and Graduate (2.94/4.00) toefl(73). I want you guy to please suggest universities that I can apply for masters(I think graduate assistant may be certain). I want a cheap school because of financial constraints and GRE that is absent in my credentials. I will love masters in english literature. Please I will need your opinion.

What you typed up there is confusing, do you have a graduate degree already? You are doing another undergraduate degree? This your path is somehow. Those 2 bolded lines don't go together. If your want funding then you have to work for it. You need to write GRE if you want funding in another school. Another option is for you to continue in your present school, that way they might not require GRE from you.

yes I have a graduate degree from naija. yes I am doing an undergraduate degree presently but I want to transfer. The school am presently in is not offering masters in English literature. I mean going for schools that will give admission and offer graduate ass without GRE.

Hello guys, I need your advise on what to do as regards sending my transcript from University of Benin to ETSU where I intend doing my masters program.

I travelled from Lagos to Benin earlier this year to request for my B.Sc certificate as well as my transcript to help facilitate my application. I learnt application and processing of transcript is now done online via ET-Xchange ( an online transcript processing firm) . I registered on the site and filled the online form, ordered and paid for the transcript on March 22nd and it was clearly written it will take three weeks to apply and send the transcript to ETSU.
To my surprise , after three weeks, the status was still on "processing". I called their customer care and they seem not to know the reason for their incapability.
Now its already six weeks and no explanation from them.
Now I am really confused on what to do. Is there any other method I can use to send my official transcript from uniben to ETSU?
Those who have done it should please advice.

This is unfortunate. This is been reoccurring in Uniben. The ET-Xchange is a sham. They just use it to collect money. Nothing happens behind the door unless you go there yourself to move your file. If you dont go to exams and record, you wont see your transcript in 4 years.

Since you have a graduate degree already, you should have applied to a graduate degree initially instead of this present undergraduate degree. I don't think anybody can give you schools that will admit you with funding, without GRE. Its very hard to come by. Even those that have GRE are still hustling hard to get funding and having in mind that your grades are low you need to upgrade your profile. Goodluck with your search

That's not "transfer". You're completing your undergrad, and want to get into grad school. Simple!

If, for any reason, you don't want to continue in your present school, you'll need to search for grad schools suitable for you, confirm their requirements and fulfill likewise. And that includes taking tests.

The best thing to do is research schools yourself based on your own criteria and come back here to ask if there is any red flag or experience of people that have applied to that school. If you don't have any idea about the whole process and to save you some stress start from this website http://graddecision.org/ to know the application process, 2) Search for schools using a) www.msinus.com b)www.gradschools.com c)www.usnews.com d) www.4icu.org

Visa fee of $340 (160 + 180) @400 will be N136k. Thats an extra N3,400 compared to 390/$ black market rate.

What is the justification 390 is already painful enough. By the way, what rate were they using before?
