Even a pass degree holder can serve competently in any country's Armed forces least of all Nigeria's! Many retired Generals in this con3 are dummies and they even attained those heights without O'level certificates sef! So why all this garagara about second class upper? Bro what you guys don't understand is that there are many Ist Class Graduates, Medical Doctors, Barristers, Masters holders and other quality degrees are queuing up for this job. Unemployment is at its peak!!! I attended a military recruitment exercise where I saw 7 first class Graduates for just 3 positions... So don't be surprise at their requirements

1: ssc is short service course while dssc is Direct short service course.ssc is for university graduates while dssc is for university graduates that studied professional courses in university.

2:you'll be practicing what you studied in school sir! But you can convert to a Regular combatant if you want to be fighting. They do promote regular combatant faster than ssc or dssc.


3: You don't need to have a pilot license before applying.........Good luck mr kabayomi!

1) Training is for 6 months
2) it usually takes place in GTC (ground training centre) kaduna. I don't know if it's susceptible to change
3) yeah, same physical training. I don't know if the dssc guys go for classes but I want to think they do, so that part maybe different.
4) flying officer b) about 180k
5) yeah. They go for courses abroad so if you're lucky to be picked or very outstanding.

You're a pilot officer when you go through the nda. Then you get promoted to the rank of flying officer within a year (I think 6 months to be precise).
When you enter through short service, you're decorated as a flying officer on your pop.

I've worked in the airforce before.

Flying officer is not the lowest rank... Pilot officer is.

As a regular graduating from NDA, you're commissioned first as a pilot officer.. And then after six months, a flying officer.

Through DSSC, you're commissioned as a flying officer.
