whenever I want to edit anything on my joomla website it will display "the file cache storage is not supported on this platform"

no I didn't update it sir.

Check that "tmp" and "cache" directories are writable by the server. I had the same after update to 3.6

or try this....

In configuaration.php, replace the value in $cache_handler by "cachelite"

The fix is typically simple and it almost always consists of making both the cache and the administrator/cache folder as writable by Apache.

FOLDER PERMISSION should be 0755

PHP FILE should be 0644

i have fixed it.... change file permission solved the issue
