though am a software developer and I have built something with the aforementioned language. but I want switch career into Microsoft solutions. and I can't just figure out the way out because I want to be certified. is it something I can learn on my own or do I need an institute, considering am a self taught programmer. sorry for asking too much

Udemy and Lynda is a good platform to learn C# for beginners ,winForm and xaml in C# , ASP.NET and Xamarin .Buy /download a good course at discount rate. Try to copy what the instructor is doing in vs2017 by doing so u will grab the concept. Replay the video if u can't understand the concept.
