No. He's not truly repentant but simply scared of dying. A truly repentant man won't wait till he is caught before singing the song of repentance. A truly repentant man will stop his crimes, dispose off his ill-gotten wealth maybe to charity or the less privileged or to sick people and run away to a place safe from the arms of the law knowing fully well that if the law catches up with him it's certain death. I think he deserves forgiveness from God and the Nigerian state should hasten the meeting between him and God so they can discuss forgiveness

This his case isn't so bad. He can cut a plea deal with the prosecution. He only has to serve a reduced prison term and relinquish all the proceeds of the crime.IMO,its a small price to pay for freedom, compared to the option of trial where he is sure to be convicted based on his admission of several crimes and testimony of his numerous victims.We need this brief in my firm asap!
