Your post just made me remember my ordeal. You need to see the way I was spending...looking for help but couldn't put a tracker earlier to save this stress. Same abj, same Camry. Lord have mercy
Op just letgo and simply move on, first thank God you're safe and hope for d best yet to come.

If I ask you for 200k to get this vehicle back, you will immediately, but install a track of less than 30k seems difficult. Your car is probably been sold already. Trust me.

I don't know how old posters on this thread are, but it's quite safe victim shouldn't divulge much information for his safety. He may have some identification inside the car at the time of high jacking so explaining security details might put him in harm ways.

Let concentrate in the lead he provided and inform the security agencies if anything comes up. Arm robbers are not illiterates, they're on the Internet too.

Obviously everyone in this thread doesnt know the pinch and park method and that the same people that steal cars using phones and radio station signals can unistall a tracker, via hacking.....

or the same radio station signal.

A tracker is elimination measure (which op should have done), not a 100% insurance measure. It stopped being the safest decades ago.

Op, if your car has been pinch and parked......you can get it back. Otherwise if its not.......sorry.

Abeg wetin b pinch and park?

Theft rate especially car theft has risen astronomically lately.

People should be on guard. If you are walking towards your car and sight two guys beside your car or behind you approaching....keep walking till you pass your car.

They wait till you press your remote and enter and they hop in with guns. And tell you to drive. And if in your car. Ensure doors are locked and wind up till you drive off

A friends 2016 hyundai was snatched last week. Till date no news.

Wish you recovery.

That your friend is a fool if he didn't install tracker or has insurance.

OP, I pray & hope that by some great chance u will recover ur vehicle...Hope u have reported at the station immediately...some vehicles are used by robbers for quick robbery and just dumped later on the road side...you won't like urself when police start to harrass u for not reporting/ calling u part of the robbers..

Our problem in Nigeria is that we trust holy spirit more than insurance or car tracking......I don't advice car tracking though...I have my reasons, I prefer comprehensive insurance with a certified company like lead way, mutual benefit, zenith insurance or law Union and rock

We Nigerians will buy car like toks for mayb 3M..to now pay common 4% of 3M which is just 120k to insure u car against theft, damage to u car and even damage to third party vehicle incase u are the one at fault will now become a problem...we will now be calling holy spirit when we are not even holy....

I hope u see ur car ooo....please get insurance in the future....u can even insure a Nigerian used car at any cost u purchased it. If u can't afford the 4% value....u can claim a lower value of purchase..hence u pay a lesser premium..atleast if anything happens u'll still get something...

Right now, u for just dey lounge....na insurance company for car headache of assured value reimbursement.....

Once again....pele

Its when a stolen car is stored in an almost visible area but the owner would never think to check the place out. The thieves haven't yet located the tracker to uninstalled it or the news about the stolen car travelled so fast, they think they will be caught. So they semi abondon it......collecting after a week or so.

Like.....if your neighbour is away for a week, they then put it in his or her backyard. A factory you normally visit or the abondoned residential area people use as pass-through. Obviously, they have been checking you and your area out for a long time. You know only certain cars are stolen each season...so they always check the owners out.

With good money you can get it coz the police know. Pinch and park = steal and display

People don't learn
instal a tracker in your car and save your self stress. All you have to do is step down watch them drive away , then walk into the nearest joint and get yourself a drink while u call the tracking company as well as the police and you can even watch your car while providing us with coordinates too .

How does this work pls. More details.

Installed timer would av saved ur car... Once a car is forcefully collected from you.. After a three minute drive the car automatically goes off and only the owner can start it.. Until u locate the button or disconnect the timer u can't move or start the car.. Always install security.

So how will it detect force?

With all ur talk about insurance.....I am sure ur one of their marketers or agents!!!!
Swerve joor!!!

If I am one of them, I would quote a particular insurance company and give u my number...the reason I adviced insurance to tracker is because na person install tracker...na person go disable am...
There are some car u will track the location and u won't be able to retrieve the ride cos the car has crossed many borders...
some cars with tracker might have been pieced and sold for parts..at this point, there's nothing to track

I have enjoyed comprehensive insurance package that's why I can talk about it....my EOD was stolen less than 5moths of purchase when we went for burial at benin...the day I got my full credit back of 1.350M...I smiled and I realised there isn't much reason to trouble the holy spirit for....

I have insurance for almost all my stuff...even my dogs....
Stay there and be saying swerve like I'm trying to package scam for you....if u opt for it, it's ur advantage..if not...its ur choice...u can always rely on the holy spirit...

Me, I believe in insurance oooo..even my two dogs are insured...pple don't just wanna buy insurance becos nothing might happen in the course of a year....i feel that insurance company should attract customers by possibly rolling over premiums or atleast half.... if it's completely unused at all..

For example...where I was working before...we get cash reimbursement by December if you dont fall sick at all tru the entire year..but if u have headache just once and u use the hospital service..u get nothing

F**k tracker. Always insure your car. You could have had a comprehensive insurance for this car for less than 150k per annum. You won't be here looking for your vehicle if that's the case. You will be sleeping and looking for how to add a little more to what the insurance will pay you to either upgrade your cat or buy the same car

You shaaa want me to quote one company..so u'll say i'm advertising that company...I'm not an insurance agent....

like I said...I have used zenith insurance, leadway, lawunion and rock and mutual benefit....they all have their strength...for example leadway is the only insurance company that does animal insurance hence that's where I insured my dogs....
some respond to theft and damage claim faster ..but I have used all cos of negotiation...like the first company I used, gave me 4% the following year the said it has change to 5%...I moved elsewhere that could still afford to give me the %age I wanted then.
