success has noting to do with ur certificate or whether you have first class or not, it all depends on the individual involve.

Good evening,

I graduated with a second class lower division 7 years ago and trust me it wasn't easy. Most of the job adverts in Multinational companies were for first class and second class upper division graduates only.

I had to work in a startup to learn the ropes while I studied for my masters degree. The two things that kept me going were God's mercies and the fact that I knew I'm not a dullard. I might not be a first class material but I narrowly missed upper division because some lecturers decided to punish me with missing grades on three occasions.

Long story short, I'm now in a better place and considering the calibre of people I have met and my achievements both in Nigeria and abroad, I sometimes feel like I'm dreaming.

However, please do what you can to get good grades in school. My brother made a first class and was immediately recruited to one of the big four. Then again, what sets you apart is what's within.

I am no 2 2 graduate but I know 2 2 graduate that got jobs even in multinationals. Build on your skills, learn how to do something differently. Gain experience, volunteer, keep pushing, get a master's degree. One day sometime, it will happen. In a short time, I know many companies will change their recruitment requirements because these days it not about how intelligent you are anymore. It's about what one can do differently. Ernst an young are already doing it. 2 2 is the minimum of them now. I know many companies will follow.

Op.. listen. Carefuly most company nw.. don't indicate the degree.. they will only indicate bsc and hnd. . whah u have in ur head will judge and what u can offer for the company.. a third class. Can easy get a job. grade doesn't matter I have many of my friend that work in big company that only graduate with a third class degree and they are earning more than. The so call 2.1 and 2.2.... conection Realy matter and what u can offer for the company to benefit them

I'm a 2.2 graduate too, I narrowly escaped dropping to 3rd class in my final year; I was that terrible in school.
After 4 solid years of futile search for a job, lady luck eventually smiled at me at the least expected place and the least expected platform. It was all God's doing.
To cut the long story short, I'm currently the admin of 3 different groups on Facebook. We specialize in selling browsing cheats and Jamb expos to students at affordable rates.

My direct cousin graduated with 3rd class.
He simply went into Hair dressing, styling nd makeup.
He learnt this from some professionals.

Today, he is an employer of Labour, he has two salons.
And he now goes abroad to buy all this expensive, wigs, hair weavons nd hair extensions at wholesale, then sale at retail in his Salons.
He started from scratch, he usually goes to various places, looking for customers, at a time.

Education and Knowledge/skill are two different things, though I'm in the academic line and career, but sometimes I feel that Education is overrated.

On a personal note, I didn't graduate with my choice degree class, not as if I wasn't good enough for it, but just a "C" instead of an "A" in a 4 unit course can change your whole result.

Just a missing script can make you write Carryover, and drag your whole result down

Maybe others sorted the Lecturer, you didn't, so he gave you an E, instead of a B which was your original score..

But my advise is this, if you are not business oriented and you don't have any other good ideas on how to make money, please make sure you graduate with atleast a Second class UPPER.

Not as if there is automatic employment waiting for you, No, but at least you can be ELIGIBLE for application to many Companies.
Whether you can get a Job in the shortest possible times, is story for another day.

To be honest with you, that class stuff doesn't work.
