The House of Representatives has voted in favour of the devolution of powers to state governments while considering amendments to the 1999 constitution during plenary on Thursday, July 27, 2017.

210 members of the lower legislative chamber voted in favour of the bill, while 71 voted against it, with 8 abstaining from the vote.

The amendment seeks to alter the "second schedule, part I & II to move certain items to the Concurrent Legislative List to give more legislative powers to States. It also delineates the extent to which the federal legislature and state assemblies can legislate on the items that have been moved to the concurrent legislative list."

In an earlier vote on Wednesday, the upper legislative chamber voted against the bill with 46 senators voting in favour, but 48 voting against.

Before the process commenced, Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, clarified that clauses that have already been rejected by the Senate are already dead because the House's position alone cannot make them scale through.

He said the process is merely an exercise to put the chamber's position on the bills on record.

Restructuring is a waste of time.
This country must be divided.

People should read from second to the last paragraph down before rejoicing.
The only option now is break up, nothing more nothing less. We can't continue like this.
Nonsense.

Ankio Briggs will clme and be clamoring for break up, me i am for a United Niger Delta Republic ... But how prepared are we Niger Deltans for this ?

I use to feel that Godswill Akpabio was the best thing to happen to good governance in Nigeria, not untill i stayed in lagos for a while to see the sheer quality of infrastructure there.

The roads were off the charts, the sheer massiveness , and thickness.. I was humbled, i couldn't help confessing of the quality of leaders that the West was blessed with, qualty cadre of folks who did things without making so much noise bout them.

WHEN THEY SAY BREAK UP, I ASK.
Who are the leaders of the Creeks ?
Asari Dokubo,? Tompolo ? Ayiri ? Johnathan ?

Asari Dokubo, that claimed to fight for us, but when the money came he ran to benjn to invest, leaving the creek as ruined as it was.

Tompolo claimed to fight for his people but when the slightest chance came, he sold all his community lands and eloped with the money.

Johnathan stayed for 6yrs without doin a thing, for his people not to talk of other citizens of the creeks.

Diezani Maduekwe stole our oil money and built sky scrapers in Lagos, while the creek continued to lie in ruins and desolation ...

Tomorrow if we are to breakaway these are the people who will either be in the helms of affairs or the ones playing the rythm for the stooge in power to dance to.
Do we think their "Eat ur share and clean ur mouth" mentality will change ?

The Niger Delta wil be worst than South Sudan, as all those folks will quickly fight each oda for their selfish interests...
I am not ready to be writting to the UN to save us, hence i am fighting that we stay in Nigeria, and then get the youths of the creeks to think straight, before we break away...

And going with Biafra is like 200% worst than what Niger Delta will be..
You need to see Kanu celebrating and feeling like a king, while the comrades who swore to die for him languish in prison, while he tours around.. A good leader is always the first in the ship, and the last to leave.

Meh wed dô mma, di ufok nnyin di Mia.

That's not what your monkey-looking dilektoh of comedy said. According to one of his many Radio Biafra facebook posts, he said and I quote "We have hundreds of Biafrans ready to die for the struggle. It's Biafra or Death. Bring your army and I will bring mine. We are not afraid of death. I know I didn't attend any military school nor recieve any military training, but we have Chukwu Okike Kerewawa on our side and victory will be ours".

If you think I made this up, sorry for your life. Visit his facebook page.

Dude also said Buhari is a pedophile and threatened he would call LE officers to arrest him whenever he visits London grin
