My God anytime I hear IF say "I am the immortal ironfist" or "kunlun" I feel like killing him (like putting him on a spit nd making him recite "I am a horrible character")

I hate the former cause I know you're the ironfist don't tell me and repeat it to everyone you meet every freaking time

And the latter I just hate how he says it ...the word isnt nice to hear to begin with but I particularly hate the way he says it

Don't know why folks have beef with the Wu-Tang song playing in the fight scene. It actually suits the Heroes for Hire, both IF & LC love their hip hop. Yes, it jarred me a little, but once I noticed those two were in focus, it made sense. Misty Knight was fine, but she's not a major character. She should have been put in the loop earlier. Bakuto likes to think he's in an anime or something. Sowande went to the school of Madame Gao, where they teach how to get under people's skin 101. Alexandra was kinda wasted, but I enjoyed how she was portrayed, Weaver could have gone with the easy ice queen b***h approach, but she didn't. They could have given her wardrobe a bigger budget. Christ, even IF looked like he bought his suit from the same shop as DD.

Actually, you could complain more about The Hand itself, since it would appear their ruthlessness & effectiveness has been reduced with every subsequent appearance after Daredevil, the almost weird route it went with in Iron Fist, with the questionable ninjas that made me keep wondering whether they had lost their ninja funding. They were built up so fantastically in DD that their subsequent spiral is just so sad.

The whole Danny issue could have been solved by him being better written, they had a whole show for that and the guy still is the dude that parrots "I'm the immortal Iron Fist". Geez, Ward got the most character development in that show. I understand he's supposed to be naive, but it does get out of hand. I don't know whether to blame the actor or the writers or both or the crew of IF and/or TD?

The song's not bad, but it just made Jessica Jones and Daredevil, especially Daredevil, look so out of place. We all know that fight was meant to be the climatic Defenders vs The Hand moment and not a Heroes for Hire focus.

Ok yh yh Misty was fine, but her interrogation scenes...she was just too sassy abeg, it got annoying grin . Lol @ Bakuto acting like an anime villain cheesy true that. Well Sowande definitely got under my skin. Alexandra's feats were just all hype and implied; she didn't actually show us one legitimate reason why she's worthy to be feared by Madame Gao of all people. Gao's portrayal as a villain in IF was even more menacing than her, so it was annoying watching someone they built up so well just suck up to Alexandra. Murakami was trash. Nobu was mopping the floor with Daredevil back in Season 1, but his own boss turned out to be nothing but a punching bag, after all the hype. Hell Daredevil even took him and Bakuto on at once [s]in one of the worst fight scenes I've seen in my life (damn too many cut-scenes man).[/s] (modified) OK, just had to rewatch that part and the scene wasn't that bad; it's just, DD vs Bakuto + Murakami was annoying. And still too many cuts; makes it hard to even see what's going on.

So yeah, the Hand pretty much failed the show. Looking forward to seeing different villains in the follow-up series. I can't wait for DD to introduce villains like Bullseye. I haven't really been keeping tabs on MCU series' news and rumours so I don't know when or if it's happening any time soon, but that'd be nice. In fact anything but the Hand, for now.

Regarding Danny, the actor did fine IMO. As you said, his character just needed better writing. But for me, there were other characters I had to worry about abeg.

Duh. Superman, that's an A list character from the DC Trinity (Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman). Of course, folks will talk when a C list character surpasses him in his first outing. It's like y'all like to forget that Marvel is currently using their not so big guns. It's thanks to the MCU that C list (or in the case of GotG, Z list) characters are now getting A list status. Remember, Marvel sold the film rights of their big guns - X-Men, Spidey & F4 - during their bankruptcy, then surprised everybody with IM. By the time Avengers happened, they could practically do no wrong in the eyes of the public & critics.

As for Captain Marvel, I'm really looking forward to it. MCU messed up by not giving us the BW film, we all wanted when we wanted it. Now, I don't even want to smell a BW film, they vexed me with their sloppy handling. We could have gotten a proper spy film with it.

I see wonder woman is A list too and I guess avengers 2.5 or spiderman is c-list abi.. character popularity is not the only yardstick in box office numbers......ever heard of warcraft I practically grew with that game flopped at the b.o though....

even as a dc fan I must say am really hyped for captain marvel and black panther and sure these movies will be lit
MCU phase 3 was kinda meh..... to me but am not trying to start an argument, I generally enjoy both

It's like you just want to argue for argument's sake. I already stated that Spidey and WW are in the big leagues, so you might want to quit trying to needlessly argue. Avengers, whether you like it or not, really became A list due to the MCU. Ask anybody who grew up in the 90s about Marvel brands, it's X-Men & Spidey they will remember because they had awesome cartoon shows. No one remembers the terrible IM cartoon. While, DC killed it with their DCAU.

Warcraft flopped like most video game adaptations flop. In fact the only really successful video game adaptation is Resident Evil and that doesn't even stay true to its source material. Just because it's a popular gaming franchise doesn't mean it would kill at the box office. Remember, what works in video games doesn't work in films. In fact, if they ever decide to do an Uncharted film, that might actually work since it's already story driven and already plays like a film. Seriously, imagine if they used their most famous set pieces from the franchise. Christ! Some people go just die for the cinema.

Look at Spidey sef, Homecoming simply didn't do the large numbers as expected simply because of Spidey fatigue, this is the third reboot of a franchise that is not up to 20 years, and that's Sony's fault. Which is quite the shame, because they really did get Spidey and Peter Parker in it. I guess Marvel is just happy they can now use him in the MCU.

lol we are saying the same thing lady...... popularity is not equal to a High gross..... lol and the MCU didn't make avengers a list it has always been lol to comic readers though......MCU brought it to the big screen and general audience like Sam raimi and Sony did with spiderman, you wouldn't say he wasn't a list before that movie would you?

But dint forget assassins creed was also thought make a decent movie franchise
I don't think Hollywood is ready for video game movies just yet. Hopefully some day we'll get a good one

Ooh yeah I never got the idea behind the marc Webb Spiderman franchise myself either
Part 2 was godawful. Made all the same mistakes in Spiderman 3
Good thing MCU came to set things straight

wow really ?
Well I'll say homecoming is the best portrayal of Spiderman on the big screen. Peter parker was portrayed quite accurately; the mild mannered socially awkward nerd. Tom Holland nailed it
Peter parker in amazing Spiderman was too hipster

tobey nailed Peter lol.... The best part of homecoming was Aunt may lol don't you agree

I like amazing spiderman because of its tone and some what gritty portrayal and garfield's spiderman was by far the best fighter when it comes to action scenes

I agree the avengers is not bigger than the xmen but I still consider it a marvel big gun because it's a cross over comic even Spidey is part of the avengers.... so I don't agree with you on the B list thingy..... just like the bat family is dc's most popular brand doesn't make justice league b-list....
The jl / avengers cross overs were the most anticipated....

Tobey nailed Peter, but his Spidey needed a little more work. Granted, that Tobey's performance has always been my yardstick for live action SM and I really like him as Spidey. Andrew nailed Spidey, but his Peter was too cool and a hipster. Tom nailed Peter and Spidey and really nailed the teen aspect.

lol kid friendly... formulaic and cringy jokes....Marvel movies are nothing but pop corn flicks no real depth or symbolism. no real stakes just mediocre action comedies...

let's hope infinity war is serious toned with real stakes like winter soldier.

but with Kevin feige I doubt it....
I can't even remember GotG 2 again sef excessive humour spoilt that movie for me....I did like ego tho...

Alot of Marvel movies are actually enterprises to get as much finance as possible but they are fun actually anyhow still better than some other attempts by other comic makers
