My View As To Why We Tag IPOB A Terror Group by DonBobes(m): 10:46am On Sep 16, 2017
This is for mynd44, Seun Osesuwa & Lalasticlala

Let me make this as short as best as I can be.
Now back to the topic why did we tag IPOB a terrorist group??
Let's check oxfords dictionary, Google and other dictionaries for the definition of the word terrorist.
Checking dictionary.com the word terrorist means a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism or a person who terrorizes or frightens others.
Oxfords dictionary defines terrorist as The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
Now everyone is saying why didn't Nigerian army tag or name fulani herdsmen a terrorist group
Like what I said in my 11 facts about fulanis.

I have been hearing about issues, violence, havoc etc being recked by fulanis and their aids. It is exasperating to note that most of these atrocities were not actually committed by fulanis but hoodlums that also want the blames to be put on the Fulanis. My facts about the Fulanis are based on my experience in the field involving crisis attributed to the Fulanis.
Follow me:
1. Fulanis are accommodating just like the yorubas.
2. Fulanis DO NOT burn religious houses when they attack(like the one in Mile 12, people started saying they were hausa/Fulanis). Never they don't. What they do is burn houses kill people etc but not religious houses.
3. They respect men in the Military, especially the Nigerian Army.
4. They DO NOT take religion to the extreme a similarity with the yorubas.
5. A Fulani can come to marry from your house & if possible change his religion because of that obligation.
6. Fulanis LOVE their cows more than anything else. I witnessed several incidents involving this. One is where a fulani herdsman's wife was in labour while the fulani was away with his cows. After several calls for him to come and attend to his wife in labour he didn't come back till he was through herding his cows. But it was late because the wife died during labour.
7. Fulanis are straight forward people. They have integrity.
8. They listen & obey their leaders(ADO).
9. THEY DO NOT FORGIVE.
10. Fulanis will not strike first except you strike them.
11. If their cows damage your crops or farm products they WILL PAY for the damages when the proof is there and you complain to them.

We did not because believe me the Fulanis have never gone out of their way to look for trouble by attacking other tribes, religious groups etc. i will say this again judging from what I observed. There are like 2-3 fulani settlements heavily surrounded by churches not even a mosque but churches. When i see these fulanis each time I drive to church I wonder how they have being so quiet and non violent having churches surround them. Because a typical hausa settlement would have found a way to cause problems, build a mosque there. Fight the locals or their host communities. But the fulanis have never done any of these instead they have being peaceful. Except you touch them and hell will be let loose. One more thing again
Hausas fear the military when they see them close by when fomenting trouble but fulanis fear NOBODY only God.
Now Igbos have being causing trouble everywhere in that state & recently they started causing trouble in some states by attacking law abiding citizens, destroying shops, causing arson etc. worst amongst these is their attack on security personnel on ground to stop them from causing more arm. Even trying to forcefully collect a rifle from a female soldier on ground on the 12 of September at ISIALANGWA ( don't know if am right about the name of the area). Before then Igbos have been throwing missiles at military vehicles they see passing their area or street. Attacking the federal security with arms. Even attacking Hausas in their states which almost caused a reprisal attack in some northern states some days ago ago. These was the same way BOKOHARAM brought us to this stage in this country because we failed to act at the right & decisive time. And we can't make that mistake again not ever.
In one of Nnamdi kanu's meetings with igbos in diaspora he said and i quote " we need guns ......to protect ourselves against the Nigerian government ". And Nigeria as learnt a lot with the BOKO haram issue and we can't wait till Igbos too become a terror we can't handle.

I drop my mic here but open to critics though.

Mynd44, Seun Osesuwa Lalasticlala note since we can't see face-to-face to talk this is how best we can discuss. Nagode .

Nnamdi Kanu: A Tale of the Self Destruction of the People’s Hero

By Adeniji, O

Climbing one of the ladders of life to success, the greatest fall of man is tied to his susceptibility to intoxication by fame and power. Undoubtedly, the fame of a British returnee had spread over the east and fast gotten far across Nigeria. His bravery was commended by all and sundry and his charisma beamed a ray of hope to the people; it meant so much to the average Igbo that somehow, the lost voice of the Ndigbo on maginalisation has been finally been revamped. In no just time, he had the support of the masses on his side; he then rode on these supports to further promulgate his agendas for his people which was solely secession, the formation of a country from a country. He was known to be the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Soon enough, Kanu became power drunk as he rode over the ignorance and gullibility of the people who had entrusted their life into his hands and have iteratively pledged their unalloyed loyalty and allegiance to the battle for the secession of the sovereign state of Biafra. Knowing not any practicable ideology towards a secession from Nigeria, his finest alternative became pitching Nigerians of various ethnic groups against one another through the spread of hate speeches and the setting up of a radio station solely to promulgate hates against the Nigerian state.

Kanu’s arrest became necessary after several threat, slander, libels, felony and treasonable offenses he had committed against the state by calling other majority tribes unprintable names in the quest to cause chaos and to finally attract international observers. He regarded these atrocities as self-determination towards the liberation of his people. His arrest was meant to burn the “zoo”, the name he and his supporters called Nigeria, but that didn’t happen. Although, protests were organised home and abroad but to no avail. He was later released on health grounds after two years to inhale the aura of freedom and instructed that pending the verdict of his case against the federal government in court, he should cease the quest for the division of the country through threat.

Returning to the society of sane people who he had earlier influenced to hate against their supposed enemies, the other tribes of Nigeria, and desperately willing to ignite the dying flames of his fame, he flaunted all bail conditions and stormed the streets threatening fire and brim stone on anyone who dared to caution him on his agitation, after all, he had a large chunk of supporters willing to loss their homes and families in lieu of his own life. At that juncture, leaders across the states were willing to negotiate Nigeria with him only if he would clamp down on the threat and disruption of activities he and the large chunks of supporters have caused the state. Nnamdi kanu was adamant. He was a god of his own self and was never under the instruction of anyone, not even the courts.

His doom was closer and his became destruction imminent when he finally decided to run a parallel government with Nigeria by creating an unprecedented secret service and national guard under the auspices of BSS and BNG respectively. He has declared a vehement relinquishment of the a coming election in Anambra, an order that was meant to be duly enforced by his die hard supporters. All that point, tension was brewing and his next line of action was unpredictable. Hoodlums have hijacked the IPOB organisation and ethnic division was at it peak. Northerner had ordered the exit of their southern guests and southern host had reciprocated in like mannerism by the declaration of war on their non indigenous guests at the lapse of a certain ultimatum. Kanu who possesses dual citizenship of both Nigeria and Britain was on the verge of plunging the country into a crisis and leaders became reluctant to caution the “superman” for political benefits.

His excesses and that of his subjugates needed to be curbed while his doubts cleared by the government. To maintain law and order, the Nigerian Army was commanded to forestall violence. Unfortunately however, the hate speeches the leader of IPOB had spread against the army propelled the instigation of the people against the men on uniform. Arming themselves with stones and bottles, IPOB member sent projectiles of locally sourced weapons against the military to register their displeasure. They however got more than they bargained when force was used to disperse the crowd.

Kanu had earlier adjoined his crowd of supporters to burn down the zoo on his arrest but his people wouldn’t just be patient enough to wait. They burnt government properties and unleashed horror on those who appear to have shared diverse opinions of their ideology. In the bid to restore order, life of humans were lost; all for one man’s recklessness and ill-manners towards others. After his drastic act, Kanu, whose wife and child are breathing the air of safety in the land of the white men has also gone underground while a lot of helpless and hapless Igbo men and women going about their lawful businesses get trapped in a crisis that had no reason for existence if only the application common sense had preceded his actions. That’s exactly what happens when you pair with politicians who are enemies of the state and are aimed at manipulating you for their errant political gains.

The one time hero has suddenly lost the respect from the elites of his society who at worst should be his closest allies for the actualisation of his ideas. The eagle eyes of the world is on the self-destructed hero whose highhandedness coupled with inattentiveness propelled an onslaught against his people. As much as Nigeria’s unity is negotiable, it’s definitely for for sale.

It is funny that after stating two dictionary definitions of what a terrorist is, you still dont know what a terrorist is. What you more interested in is making excuses for the armed Fulani herdsmen regarded as the 4th deadliest group on the global terror index. A group that regularly slaughters people in at least 5 of the 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria

Now lets look at IPOB. They are not armed and have never killed anyone. You say that IPOB are causing trouble but you dont say what exactly they are doing to cause trouble. You say that IPOB are attacking people and burning property but everyone knows that no such thing happend until this operation Python dance madness started.

For an organisation to be termed as terrorists, they must have had a history of using violence to achieve their aims. Can you tell us the violent acts that IPOB has been involved in before operation Python dance? What violent acts did IPOB do from 2013 to 2016?

So IPOB suddenly became a terrorists group because they had clash with the Army in Abia state? There is no country in the world where the citizens dont occasionally clash with the Police or Army, even the Police and Army occasionally clash in Nigeria and attack each other with weapons. There are many groups in Nigeria such as NLC, NANS,OPC,Niger Delta militants who have had violent clashes with the Army, are they all terrorists too?

Having one or two violent clashes cannot make an organisatiom a terrorist group.

As for the incident in Isialangwa, everyone knows that what happend that day was that a female Soldier stopped an IPOB member and told him to remove the Biafran cloths he was wearing. When he refused, she shot him dead there. They Army twisted the story that he tried to snatch her weapon so as to justify the murder. This incident is one of the reasons that caused the violent clash in Abia state. How can a reasonable person believe that a civilian will go to snatch a weapon from an armed soldier?

IPOB is not a terrorist organisation in anyway, and as for Nnamdi Kanu asking for guns, it is not even illegal to own a gun in Nigeria as long as it is licensed
