Sometimes I ask myself.. Are the drivers ok
.they need to have a psychological test before driving... They can drive into you.. If you are not careful. Always overtaking each other. Opening their door unexpectedly.. Kai.. O bad gan

Better menace.
Those people can drive anyhow,
No be small.

But I understand they make transport cheaper,
But the state Govt should just bring bigger buses, esp for long distances, they have fairly good roads.

Na pesin go dey dodge Micra for pedestrian walk way.

Na wah for dem. ...

Sango (Iyana poly / Total filling station) is most terrible of all places when it comes to reckless Micra drivers.

Micra is also a super tool (official car) in the hand of Police instead of patrol vans. you can verify this by mere standing in front of Iyaganku police station between 6:30am & 8.00am.

Did you hear the news of what transpired between SARS operatives and Micra drivers around Felele junction and Olomi b/stop and Iwo Road on Thursday? Those SARS guys had to run away from them but not without one the lying critically I'll in the hospital.

Lagos has an active road laws with dire consequence for the offender but same cannot be said of Oyo state ant her Micra.

Micra in ibadan is a huge menance to the beautification of ibadan as a whole.

Anyone living on ibadan presently will hear about the recent issue that happened between some police officials and a micra driver.

Following the story intently, fresh fm ( 105.9 ) brought in live the state Nurtw leader Mr Inufele. He butressed that micra is causing a great havoc on the people of ibadan city.
He said " micra are used to kidnap people here"

It was said that the micra driver abused a fellow road user, unknowing to him that the people inside the vehicle were police officers. Those drivers can abuse and curse anything, yet they are the one at fault.

All these been said, one will never argue that micra usage in ibadan is a great setback to that city.

Have you drove or been driven around Ibadan before? I dont know where they got their driving skills from..... Micra drivers will never traffficate or look into their side mirrors before entering the road 'lailai'.

The state government should just ban it and introduce a better transportation system.

Drabeey was HERE

an outright ban of Micras or a strict traffic rule.
Those guyz get me tired of Ibadan in my less than 3months stay

If you can't beat them you join them! grin
I think lots of those drivers forget they are not riding bikes again due to the quick response and small size of the car, hence they drive like it can fit into crevice.
Driving that car is fun sha.

Please what is the current price of micra?

Re: Micra Taxis In Ibadan: Necessity Or Menace? by ernieboy(m): 11:42am On Sep 17, 2017
is it the car that is a menace or the drivers? if you have people who do not obey traffic rules even if you give them range rovers they will still be reckless.

the car is not the problem but the drivers. his does banning the car stop their recklessness? there should be enforcement of traffic laws.

Micra might be a menance but without these cars, what else should those of us that did not have cars/bike use for transportation? undecided
Day before yesterday when all of the micra cars went on short-time strike due to an incidence, come see lots of people including me trekking for road

I just thing there should be a rule governing their activities, sending them to extinction from Ibadan roads is a No-No

Micra taxis where brought it during the Akala administration..And yes it is used for kidnapping and all taxi's too..Not only Micra. .Before Micra came taxi's where used for kidnapping but this isn't the case of only Micra..I only board Micra at public parks and not on the road..

However your reference saying the Micra driver abused the sars officer does not warrant the driver being shot at..The fault of the fracas that happened days back was the fuckinggggg fault of the useless police officers who's main job is to go around and harraas innocent Nigerians
