95% is projected? grin grin grin

I said 83%, you said 95%, which is closer to 85%? grin
we were both wrong abi? cheesy

If android gained 2% within 4 months, you should be expecting close 90% market by january, if other operating systems continue to die.

So my "projection" is on point.

By the way, that wasn't even the point of the initial post.

I swear you Nigerians are so unruly, disrespectful and rude! What brought about being foolish in this discussion?? Dammit! The guy made a very valid point..it is easier to build apps and programs for an OS with a limited range of devices like the iPhone..unlike in android because a LOT of different devices run on android os..so one needs to put in more work hours and resources in catering for the various devices running on the OS..it’s common logic for Pete’s sake!

If you don't understand a sentence it's best to avoid it too. When s8 came out. They compare it with iPhone 7. Its obvious you can't compare s8 with iphone8.

You don't sound smart I'm afraid.

Newest OEM phones are compared side to side. Right now, its note 8/s8/s8+ vs iPhone 8/8+/X. When S9 comes out, it'd be compared to the newest iPhone and vice versa

Besides, iPhone 8 and s8 are of the same year/generation if that's not clear to you by now.

Benchmarks will show that it's so fast but in real life usage, you never really tell the difference between iPhone 7 and iPhone 8

I love apple. But the only reason I prefer android is the freedom, naija na android environment.

And you're the one clearly confused

I just said newest OEMs are compared side to side. Your screenshot says "April". Which were the newest OEM phones then? Weren't they iPhone 7 and s8? But now, most reviews starting "September" will compare iPhone 8 and s8, 8+ vs s8+, X vs note 8.

Next year "April" will see s9 vs iPhone 8 comparison reviews cos s9 is the newest iteration.

It's not rocket science, mate...smiley

You're looking for someone to talk to. You did not see the sep post abi?

You cannot compare the iPhone 8 with s8 obviously. It's the same way the 6s was compared with the s7edge and when the iphone 7 comes out it out beats the s7edge

The same thing they said about iphone 7.

The same thing they will say about iphone 12.

Do people really use all these functionalities or they just want to belong?

At the end, people will fvck over N350+ to buy a phone.

People in the developed nations have the luxury of exchanging iphone 7 for iphone 8 with minimal out-of-pocket cost. Do they do same in Nigeria?

After iphone 8 release, Apple shares has been crashing.

Something is going on.

This is here is a renowned tech blogger comparing the iPhone 8 and note 8 side by side..the iPhone won in some departments like game loading time, while the note 8 won in 3rd party apps..the blogger clearly reiterated my point which was that when you use both phones individually you will not notice any difference in speed..he also reiterated my point that the note 8 has a more immersive screen for gameplay and movies..and that it all boils down to preference..this is despite the iPhone 8’s high benchmark ratings...all of you here have been going on talking bullpoo and denigrating people who have a contrary opinion when in reality you haven’t even used both phones or compared them in REAL LIFE USAGE..in real life usage those numbers tend to count for naught..

That's not the real reason why, though. Android developer middleware allows devs to write code once and target a lot of devices. Code should run and scale across different chipsets, display sizes etc.

The main reason why developers prefer the appstore is that iPhone owners - on average - tend to purchase more from the store. The appstore is far more profitable for most devs than Google Play.

Of course the gap is narrowing as Android grabs more marketshare, but it's still there.

That's not what the video shows. The iPhone is clearly faster in most operations, with the few 'wins' on the Note 8 for apps with different codebases ie Pinterest and Twitter.

What the video does show is that in any sort of demanding app, the iPhone 8 crushes the Note 8. Benchmarking, gaming, video or song editing etc.

Stop misrepresenting facts. In real life the iPhone will perform the same tasks quicker than the Note. And Camera wise, the iPhone outclasses the Note 8

The comment about design and immersiveness is a moot point since the main competitor for the Note 8 is the iPhone X which has the same chipsets as the iPhone 8 but paired with an immersive display.

cough cough windows mobile

if that argument held true, windows mobile would be beating android instead of shuttering.

ms even went as far as to provide uwp to speed up porting of android/ ios apps to windows mobile. no dice.

as texazzpete noted , the apple market is where the money is. apple have deliberately focused on first world markets. with a rooted android and lucky patcher, all in app purchases are mine for free.

the developers know this.

Thats just it at the bolded.. there is no type of tweak and tricks i did not do on android but i got tired of it even while stilll using android. All i needed was iphones smooth and wonderful performance. Been using iphone for about 1 year now and i still smile anytime i pick and unlock my phone.. Y'all iphone users know that smooth experience you feel wink

I'd rather say you ran out of intelligence and decided to try out a phone that will spoon feed you at every turn. You did the tweaks and Tricks cos you needed to do them not cos you enjoy doing them. So eventually you'll get tired... obviously

and having that kind of phone restrict u to the Apple ecosystem which means u get to pally with the big boiz at all times... Android is for everyone but ios, hmm u gotta be someone to use it

Just buttressed. It all depends on what you want in a phone. You want to pally with your phone, that's your choice. I want to see my phone from a distance and know that that is my phone, because I have tweaked it to my taste and it is carrying my identity. That's why it is my phone. Not that it is my iPhone.

Let me school you first. Apostrophes are used for possessive nouns hence the "broke boy's comment". So your "iPhone's " doesn't make any sense. It shows you are a dumbass. Your IQ is so low you have to dig for it.
By the way I saw one of your topics about injoo phones. I now understand why you were hypertensive when I said the "broke boy's comment" Take a chill pill, okay; You will get there if only you can channel the rage inside you into thinking.
That's my gurl. I would assume you're learning so fast... Lol..
