People will still come here and defend the university out of loyalty to the church. Even Jesus Christ refused to sanction the stoning to death of a confirmed prostitute so, why should a Christian university expel a student for simply criticising the school management?

As a student activist, I criticised so many departmental and university decisions that I felt was inimical to the interest of students and I was never expelled. Why should a school management think they are above criticism? Are they God or what?

people need to be careful with religous bodies: churches, mosques, schools like this, companies and businesses, once you are involved closely with them, you are in for a huge surprise. They may fvck u up, and even if they are wrong, they will never admit it. They have great influence, money and many loyal followers even in high places, so you be fighting a lost battle from the start. So boy, swallow your pride, go and beg, do the program to rescue your destiny and graduate first before ranting. The coward sits and watches the body of the hero taken away.

Gone are the days students' activism put government (not excluding the military) and institutions in proper check. Everyone had to sit up.
The tables have turned (in the wrong direction) today. To even ask for basic stuffs which provisions have been made for is considered vilification and a threat in absolute terms.
These are some of the seemingly minute but very significant traits that we've lost and they are to a large extent responsible for our present state.

RUN is a faith based university and would never compromise itself by victimizing an innocent student. the letter clearly stated that his activities on social media brought the University to disrepute. knowing how people have bastardized their use of the medium with Ill advised acts, I believe he hasn't been a good Ambassador of the University as the letter posits. this goes to show that a university can withdraw an issued certificate even after graduation. the University was magnanimous enough to offer him a chance at restitution and that goes to show that even though his actions might not be severe with respect to gross misconduct, it was an expellable acts according to RUN policies. I hope you understand now . I know Nigerian students and have dealt with them for a long time.

I finished from a federal university and even at that character and learning still counts. if you graduated and someone can prove without reasonable doubt that you committed and act of forgery or something depicting gross misconduct. even after years of graduation, your certificate will be withdrawn and made null. go and read your student handbook for more info on thus

Go and sit down joor, u no know how many people social media don help in the hands of oppression? If u have problem with any oppressor, bring it on, we will help u to publicise till it gets to the person(s) that will eventually help. You can't close your mouth when Nigerian oppressors are oppressing u, they will just kill u in silence. Go to Nigerian prisons, go to police stations, you will see peep dey suffer innocently. When you award your certificate to an individual he/she automatically becomes your ambassador therefore his/her conduct reflects on the school

If there is an indication that a potential graduate may not meet the minimum standards of conduct set by the school then they have the right to withhold that certificate irrespective of whatever tuition the student has paid.
