starstunna1313: Are you kidding me? Even you Brutus. These are adults involved. So long he wasn't talking about their intimate life, there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG in that portion of acknowledgement. Do you know if the babe paid part of his fees, typed the project for him,etc. We learnt from the white ppl and yet can't even keep up with the trend. It is VERY RIGHT in foreign countries to appreciate anything u like the way u want it in that acknowledgement page. That is your free page where you use your choice of words. If it were me as the supervisor, I ll focus from his abstract to the end and give him his due grade. |

I have seen a supervisor like that in the university who specifically instructed a final year student to rearrange his acknowledgements and take God to the last. The student had initially acknowledged God before any other person but the supervisor wanted to be mentioned first. We were all surprised but the bros had to do it the supervisor's way. |

I'm still wondering why most people are attacking the professor and supporting this dude's carelessness. Its an academic work and as such it's expected to be carried out with all meticulousness and professionalism possible. Think about it, can he refer to the girl when writing to his Pastor/GO or his Chief the way he just did? The guy should have simply acknowledged ''My friend Miss....'' to make things a lot easier for him. I pray the Prof doesn't take drastic steps to downgrade him because of this. |

Ppl outside d academic environment wnt understand, u acknowledge those who contributed to ur proj..he should ve simply aknowledged her among friends dt contributed to s auccess of the work. This is nt a love letter.. The use of informal words like sweethear darling or sugar whatsosever is nt allowed under d acknowledgement section...so dt prof. Ws actually right, |

OluOlaLekan:They re guidelines for writing acknowledgements, in some schools God comes first, ur supervisor, hod n other suport staff, family, friends,,, bt in some schools d same procedure except that God comes last after family...we Africans tend to spiritualise everything |
