Our country is one where agents of Government establishments can resort to using touts to harass people and grab their land, or to sell encumbered land to unsuspecting citizens. An example is Lanre Olaoluwa, AMCON's Receiver Manager, who is using touts to harass people off their land in Victory Park Estate, Lekki. It depends on the existing title the land has. If it has an excision, you can buy it. If the land is free from Government acquisition with no previous title and it isn't committed you can buy it. If the land has a dodgy past and no previous title to verify then you should avoid the land like a plague.
