Thanks for the informative response. In my previous application I stated my other sources of income in a month in the my application with only my primary occupation. And I want to know if I can only state my primary occupation income in this new re application. Sir, what is the implication of stating the primary occupation and income now as against previous application.

Good Afternoon , Please a Cousin of mine has a B1/B2 Visa to US with her children, but due to some academic activities, the children wont be following her anymore, can she be denied entry at the port of entry for not coming with the children? We await your kind response.

You may do so. If you choose to do so, you will have to pay another application fee.

Thank You @abujaNIV
I have done that, I did on Friday, I hope I get it resolved today or by wednesday at most.
Kindly answer the 2nd part of my inquiry sir/ma, I asked if I could book a fresh appointment if it's not solved this week.
It's an F1 visa and resumption is drawing closer.
Thank you

Hello hardworkpayss -

No, an appeal filed by a lawyer is not an immigration petition. This question refers to forms I-129, I-130, and the like, which are filed by a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident to create an immigrant visa case for one of their relatives or employees.

hardworkpayss:
Thankyou@Abujaniv.

Please i am still expecting a response from you concerning the questions below

It states somewhere on the F1 DS160 form to state if someone has filed an immigration petition on your behalf.

Please I want to find out if a letter of appeal by a lawyer for a visa lottery that was refused in 2006 is classified as an immigration petition? so I don't fill in wrong information mistakenly on the DS160

And please concerning the mistake of my date of birth then on the visa lottery application in 2006. It was a mistake of a day or month filled by someone else on my behalf.

What can i do to correct the wrong date of birth that was filled for me by someone else for me on the initial lottery form then.

Or will it have been corrected in my case notes by the consular officer after the interview at that time?. As my passport had my correct date of birth and i told the person that interviewed me that my passport has my correct date of birth.

Please help me with regards to the questions..

Hope to read from you soon. Thank you.

Hello coldsummer and bucciajayi-

Any changes you make from the plans you stated to the Consular Officer may be questioned by CBP at the Port of Entry. However, so long as you are still traveling for a purpose which is allowed by the visa you have been issued, and so long as there is a credible reason for the change,
you will likely not have problems. If the change is so significant that it is not credible, or otherwise looks like you have misrepresented things,
there could be adverse consequences to you.

Good afternoon consular officers, thank you for all you do to help us.
I made a mistake when filling my form ds160 but unfortunately, i discovered the mistake a day to my visa appointment.
I subsequently filled a new ds 160(since i'd already submitted the other one with the error).
I took the old one and the new both with me on the day of the interview.
However, I wasn't allowed in for the interview as they said my changes hadn't reflected in the system.
Am I eligible to reapply?
Will my MRV receipt still be valid?
If so, can i use it for another application?
Can I get consideration for an expedited appointment?
I'm at my wit's end, please help!
Thanks

Good day,

I just found out that it's my old passport number that is on my visa application payment confirmation page. The lady at the bank mistakenly inputted my old passport number instead of new. Should I go ahead and fill my application form with my new passport number, or do I have to go back to the bank? Thanks

LagosNIV:
Hello igwemesh -

Please start at www.ustraveldocs.com/ng

There are extensive FAQs and information about how to apply for a non-immigrant visa at that site. You do not need an invitation letter. In fact, if you bring one it will most likely not be asked for or even read if offered. Required documents for a tourist visa are an international passport, a visa application fee receipt, and a DS-160 confirmation page with barcode.

Regards,

LagosNIV

thank you for the response ..i completely finished filling my DS 160 form and have a date for my interview ..but while i was filling the form ..i stated that i had been to Benin republic which i went to in d year 2014 to buy my car without a passport..but my passport was issued in 2016...can this be used against me since the passport is newer to when i traveled to Benin..my passport was not stamped.. i only entered Benin with a slip given to me at the road boarder ..Benin is just about 20km away from my house

Hello, officers.

My last us visa expired in 2015. Before it expired, I had written the embassy to notify them that I intend to go to the us to have my baby on that visa since I initially obtained it in 2013 to attend my sister's graduation.however I ended up not traveling again due to the fact that I developed DVT. Now my question is will the fact that I didn't travel that time for the purpose mentioned before affect my application next year when I need to go to the USA to attend My sister's wedding? Thank you.

Good evening.
Please my husband is trying to schedule an appointment with me but we are having a challenge adding me because I already have a profile.
Do I need to request to deactivate my own profile so he can add me as we would like to be interviewed together?.
And is there a consequences for deactivating my account.
Thanks
Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by abujaniv: 8:06am On Nov 24, 2017
Hello osewanu. Applicants are allowed to reschedule one time per visa fee receipt. If you are unable to do this on your own, you may inquire to customer service. You may apply for an emergency appointment, though the situation you describe does not appear to qualify for one.

Hello Teslas. Minor children tend to qualify through their parents, so your nephew may need to appear with his mother and father. This is to protect against human trafficking.

Hello Justmey. You may be able to use the profile you submitted previously, though you should look through it an update any information that needs editing. Be advised that unless you have new information to supply in support of your application, the result is likely to be the same.

Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by abujaniv: 8:21am On Nov 24, 2017
Hello labsgal. It shouldn't be an issue. Be sure to point it out when you come in for the interview--we can amend the passport number at that time. The number on the passport will be represented on any visa that is printed and applied to it.

labsgal:

Hello listaby. Anytime actual travel deviates from what is declared in the interview/application, it invites greater scrutiny. There is no valid procedure for changing your purpose of travel to childbirth after the interview. Applicants are expected to declare such intent at the interview and also at the port of entry.

listaby:

Thanks Abujaniv,

The father is no more and my sister has remarried with a different surname and the new husband is not ready to adopt him. but my nephew is using his father surname because he has his primary school and secondary school certificate with that.

Please what will i do in this case. Note: My guardian document is a court order from Lagos Island high court in Lagos.
