All the guys i met in the bar were all freshers, but they called me fresher cos i just resumed (na joke o). Are you stil confused?

I entered my first trouble on the fourth day of my first week of resumption ( E too early abi)
.
When i first resumed school, as a newbie, my daily rountine was to go for lectures and return back home, eat and sleep, this cycle continued till i got bored on yhe fourth day and decided to go out.
.
Those while, i was squatting with a friend(Bighead) in Genesis (a area in skul) for the mean time while i was searching for an apartment to rent.
.
One that fateful day, when i got back from class, i freshened up and ate the snacks i bought on my way from school.
After i finished eating, i decided to browse and listen to some jamz to keep myself busy but then, i discovered my phone's battery was low. (which kind wahala be dis?)
.
It was at that moment i remebered i haven't seen meekest (my paddy) since i resumed. We both gained admission same time.
So, i decided to pay him a visit that moment (atleast make i stroll small). I picked my phone and dialled his number.

Hwfa bros, i don resume skul o, where you dey,? I asked him immediately he answered my call.
" ehen, hope you buy my bread com o (meekest fit die untop bread matter o), i dey house. Tell the bikeman make he carry you come Lexuz bar for Staff quarters," he replied me.
Ok, abeg wait for me there o cos my phone go soon off, i nor one come dey find you, i told him before i ended the call while stopping a bike.

While we were leaving the bar, meekest gave me his house key, and told Pointer to show me his room that he wants to see his girlfriend off, i didn't complain (my guy dey form caring for d babe ).
*Pointer is meekest's neighbour.

When Pointer and i got to their lodge, he showed me meekest's room, i opened the protector and entered his room, its a bedsitter apartment.

I pulled the shirt i wore, and was on my inner wear(byc) when i layed on the bed, exhausted.
I was about to fall asleep when i heard people voices, shouting and running outside.

"if you go market, and you see people dey run, run" i remembered that proverb and jumped up from the bed, i went outside to check what was going on. (alert mood activated).

"make ona no allow am run lost o! make ona no run near am o, e dey kill o! Make ona dey cut am from back!" some group of boys shouted, while chasing a cow (lost cow).

The students were holding cutlasses, knives, ropes and buckets in their hands, while chasing the big cow. (see meat!).

The students chased the cow as if it was running away with their destiny, they chased it from both sides, with all their strenght.

As an adventure lover, i watched the cow chase with excitement. I admired the unity and determination of the students chasing the cow.

Like play, like play, i nor know hw e happen o, but i see myself dey find cutlass for meekest room. I search everywhere, i nor see. Na so i run go knock Pointer gate.

'Pointer! Pointer, abeg give me cutlass! One big meat run pass here just now, and some boys dey chase am enta d bush, i told him, almost shouting (action mood activated).

" i dey come, carry knife go until, i go com meet you for there," Pointer replied me while searching for his cutlass.

Carry buckets come o, na full semester meat we dey go kill so o, i replied him while running towards the bush.

I ran after my fellow students with joy, stil on the cow chase.

"e don tire! E don hook, make ona cut im leg! cut am! Cut am!" the students shouted while i got into the middle of the thick bush.

When i got there, i saw students with cutlasses and buckets of different sizes, standing around the tired cow.

The cow struggled and almost wonnded a boy in the process, but it was too late, it was given mass killing and when it fell on the ground, the students started jubilating.

I go use my own do suya! I go use my own arrange better stew! My babe go use my own do sauce for me!," the boys shouted joyfully.

Then it got set! It was now time for the real struggle, we started butchering the cow. It was a free for all something, no hold barred (WWE) lol.

It was a come-cut-and-go. You can cut any quantity of your choice, no problem. I was focused on cutting a particular portion of the cow, while waiting for Pointer to come with his cutlass and buckets.
.
Some students were cutting in twos and threes. The more the number in your group, the bigger the portion of meat you could cut home.
.
While i was cutting the cow leg, Pointer showed up with a big cutlass and a 20 litres paint bucket. I held the cowleg in position, while Pointer was doing the cutting.
.
"see, everybody on your own o, if dem catch you, carry your cross alone o. If dem catch anybody, he con mention my name or point me, me and dat person go get big problem o" a fellow butcher warned while cutting.(no dulling)
.
As we were cutting, a boy ran into the bush, where we were and all of us took race from the spot, thinking it was the aboki that owned the cow or an army.

"oshare you dey mad o, see as you make us fear. Nor try am again o," a student warned the intruder who was already down, cutting his own share.

Meanwhile, Pointer has carried the first bucket full of meat home, and came with another one. (issa meat day something).

"make anybody here no go talk for town say we kill cow here o," another fellow buthcher warned

All those while, Pointer and i has filled the new bucket he brought with meats (bahd guys).

"hello, you dey Genesis, guy enta bike com staff qtrs now, we don fall one cow for here. Carry knife and bucket come o," i heard a boy said, while making a phone call (Judas Iscariot spirit!).

While some students were coming with their buckets and knives, others were running home with their buckets of meat.

It was when Pointer was on his way carring the second bucket of meat to the lodge, that Gbokodo came into the bush shouting, "why ona no call me since na, na so ona be? See meat o!"
.
In no distant time, i assisted him, and we carried the cow head home. We carried it home like a trophy. He held one horn, while i held the other and we matched home gallantly.
We felt like R.kelly cos we sang songs of victory.( mission accomplished!).

We got the lodge to and meet all the lodge mates (mostly gals) outside. And when they saw us with the cow head, they started hailing Gbokodo and i while shouting ( i felt on top of the world)

"make ona bring ona voice down, ona voice go attract people com and e nor make sense," i warned them, when their shouts and hailings was getting to loud for my liking (e suppose be coded mata na)

"the meat plenty o, e go reach 50k for market o," a girl(queen), remarked.

"why you go talk like dat, e pass dat amount. Only the full cow leg na how much? Before you go talk of this full bucket of meat. You know wetin dey here so?" another gal(Okuna) asked, while she countering Queen.

" dem fit use this meat take do marriage o, na just to buy small chicken join am" another gal(Delight), added.
.
" we go chop meat tire for the lodge this week," another gal Mercy, remarked.
.
All those while the girls where making their estimations, suggestions and contributions, i was just staring at them. (see people wey nor know as meat take come o).

"we go use part of the meat take cook ukodo pepper soup wey everybody for the lodge go eat," Queen suggested

" we go stil do kponmo sauce o," Delight added.

We asked the girls to carry the buckets of meats into an uncompleted building opposite the lodge.

When we entered the uncompleted building, we the boys there started cutting the meats into small chunks, while the gals went to look for woods and plastic cans that will be used to set fire, for burning the cow skin (kponmo).

'What if the aboki dem wey get the cow or army com jam us for here like dis, dey share the cow, wetin ona go do?, I asked while laughing.

"forget e, nothing go happen! Na dis my big cutlass i go take cut any aboki wey com here. Thunder fire dem! Na our land be dis! Any aboki no get level for here!," Gbokodo replied me while boasting.

"make ona nor share meat reach me o, i no wan take, i dey fear, i nor want enter any trouble," Mercy said, out of fear.

If you dey focus on your book like dis, na DT(Distinction) you go take graduate be dat o, i replied him, while turning the cow skin in the fire, and the laughter continued.

Make ona quiet o, na nite be dis and the aboki fit don dey find their cow now, i said while they laughed.

We stayed in the uncompleted building gisting, cracking jokes, throwing jabs(yabbing) at eachother while waiting for the cow skin to be properly burnt till around 12 that night before we shared the meat..

After the meat was shared, we ensured the girls cleared the place, threw the bones away before Pointer and i took the horns and went deep inside the bush to bury it cos we don't want to leave any trace behind.
