Nigeria And Conservation by freshkpomo(m): 9:56am On Dec 23, 2017
I saw something this morning this morning on how China is campaigning to save the life of some endangered monkey specie and i was really impressed and at same time not impressed! I was impressed with China and not impressed with Nigeria. A question hit my mind "is it that our government dont know the importance of conserving natural resources or their knowledge is still crude and the government dont really understand what it means to conserve".i tried to figure out what the government have done towards conservation and all i saw was nothing!! National parks that functin less because of no funding, with poachers leveling it day in day out. Even humans in this country are endangered in the hands of Sars, ritualists, cultist e.t.c not to talk of animals that are been hunted day in day out with the forest expected to manufacture animals ,and some even go on to kill pregnant animals without thinking of the future of that specie!timbers are just on another level as daily deforestation is the order of the day! A caring government starts with caring for the things around (nature) and not one who thinks about oil money year in year out!!! We dont have a govenment that think outside the box, they all keep turning in circles,if conservation is not taken serious,we will all suffer the consequence in the future!!!thankyou #DROPS MIC
