I want to know what each person would do to fix Nigeria if he/she were elected president.

What policies would you implement in order of time?

On Dec 15, INEC approved the registration of 21 new political parties. Some comments on the vanguard website included - "Confused country", "Madness, bunch of political loafers.", "wat nonsense . who benefits from these confusion".

What is your take on this?

I will begin by clamouring for a new constitution that will enthrone true federalism and engender peaceful existence of the highly diversified nation such as ours.

Then I will ensure that we do away with the Senate which is the engine room of corrupt practices that has bedeviled our country since our return to democratic rule.

In addition to this, I will run a capitalist economy which will see to the complete privatization of all federal government asserts. All businesses, local or international, shall be regulated by various incorruptible and legitimate regulatory agencies so as to prevent inflation and high cost of living.

Furthermore, critical areas such as Education, Agriculture and Health care will be properly managed so as to encourage food production, research and better health for all citizens.

Moreover, I will review our policies that have encourage local production of commodities by awarding tax havens to such establishments as well as other economic benefits that will further see to the reduction in the cost of services or goods in Nigeria.

I will also ensure that the local government is empowered once again to affect the lives of the people at the grassroot level by funding that level of government adequately and providing them with the legal backing as prescribed by the constitution to function effectively.

Finally, I will revamp the judicial arm of government and her systems so as to restore her integrity, autonomy, supremacy and power to decide cases courageously without fear or favor. All institutions shall be strengthened under my rule. All forms of nepotism, ethnicity, religious bigotry, tribalism and cultural bias shall be fought against aggressively by my government.

God bless the people of Nigeria, God bless the federal republic of Nigeria, and God bless all Nairalanders.

Thanks for your response. Sounds like a sound plan.

What about INEC registering 21 new parties?

INEC, as it is at the moment, has proven herself in recent times as an autonomous entity particularly at the federal level. Only the state INEC need to be delivered from the whims of the State governors.

Besides, people should be allowed to join and form political parties as they wish. It's part of their human right. INEC is bound by law to register such parties once the eligibility criteria is met.

I will put every other secondary matter on hold and ensure 24 hour power supply round the country DESPITE EVERY ODD.

I will bring managers to head ll ministries and then bring professionals to deputize plus an expo of professionals who have power to veto the managers of ministries.

I will bring discipline into our military and paramilitary - including those guarding our borders.

I'll set I gigantic and zonal/ethnic/tribal committed to bring in their template for a new Nigeria and I will have a board of professionals who will look into them and come out with an agreeable template for the new Nigeria.

I will delete jamb from ll records and make education accessible and affordable even to a barrow pusher. There will be ways to get a given refund.

I will institute politics and history in all Nigerian schools - from primary through secondary.

I will make it mandatory and compulsory for all who have bank accounts to have voters card. Those up to 18 must also present theirs before they obtain anything government regulated.

There are so much more but most of them will be subbed under these.

Nigeria can be great.

Then overhauling public service to ensure only graduates and qualified hands are employed in order to checkmate the decadence and laziness they're known for.
Fixing electricity and instilling a sense of discipline in Police force.

It’ll be difficult.

I’ll bring together the governors of all 36 states to discuss their industrial potential.

For instance,

In Ekiti I’ll encourage the governor to build toilets in all homes and a central sh*t collection center where sewage is collected and converted to gas and fertilizer and the gas used to generate power which would be distributed for profit.

In Kano I’ll invest in a massive pharmaceutical industry, researching and developing better cures for polio, maningitis, cholera etc with enough citizens to carry out clinical trials. The drugs produced would be sold world wide for profit.

For Ogun it would be the best and most expensive university in Africa.

For Cross river it would be 7 star hotels and casino, the Las Vegas of Africa.

For Delta it would be oil product production, Kogi will be iron and steel, Kaduna automobile, Anambra motorcycle and keke-napep.

And so on and so forth...

Nigeria 's solution is simple..... Even the political elites know this. Just restructure the country back to the federation the British handed over to us.

In simple words.... State governors should stop going to Abuja monthly for allocations. Every region should dig deep and develop at its pace.

Well, I do not need to bark orders, I only need to follow due process as stipulated by the law and also put people who can and will do the work. With the right people and things there, I will ensure about the completion of not less than 70% of them within a tenure and I do not mean half-here-half-there. In case we have not noticed, the only reason these seem difficult is because our politics has been that of succession and they succeed according to favor done or received. Beat this and Nigeria will stand tall. Now, asking me how to beat it will be an entirely different question with a different approach for answers. Thank you.

Nigeria as a whole can't be fixed.

You and your Ethnic group can fix yourselves but not Nigeria as a whole.

That is why I belief Ethnic Groups like the Igbos should band together and workout their solutions rather than wait for the whole country.

The Igbos should find a system that can sustain them outside Abuja influence.

It is easier for 4 ethnic groups to come to an agreement than 250 ethnic groups.

Do you think it is only the Hausa Fulani people that oppose resource control.?

Don't you know that Yorubas and many Christian ethnic groups up North also oppose Resource Control.

How can Nigeria grow when most ethnic groups don't have faith outside SS/SE oil & gas.

My brother, ibedun has a point.

Nigeria is too complicated to govern because of the diverse ethnic groups and their lack of self confident outside SS/SE oil & gas.

Therefore, I will advice that you work with members of your ethnic group to build a system that can survive & thrive outside the money coming from Abuja.

That is the mistake, Tinubu is making using Lagos wealth.

Are you aware that the United Kingdom is made up of four countries (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) but is one nation?

And that each have their ethnic languages and cultures and dislike towards the others?

What is so special about Nigeria that you think we need individual ethnic solutions?

OMG! When I become the president, Nigeria will be the best place on earth...My main priority would be:
The Education sector
The Health sector
The Agricultural sector
The Power sector...I will touch lives from the urban the rural areas, the minimum wage will be above the poverty level.
I make people happy, I listen to people's plight...it's endless...
