Fulani herdsmen fighting for every blade of grass, businessmen fighting for every shovel of limestone, face-me tenants fighting for the corridor....men we are too many in this country for the resources we have. If your father had more than two of you and you plan to hsve more than two kids...serious fight awaits in the future.

Singapore is the first country in the world that has placed a moritorium on building new roads. What this means is that they are winding down infrastructure expansion....also known as....our country is filled to capacity look else where. They value the quality of life.... not quantity.

Fool, don't say what you know nothing about! The owner of BUA is NOT Atiku's friend! This is a feud between Aliko Dangote (a capitalist who captures every Federal Government and bribes everyone in government since Obasanjo's time) and a competitor, BUA, owned by Abdulsamad Rabiu. Interestingly, both Dangote and Rabiu are from Kano.

This is NOT a Buhari or 2019 matter, nincompoop! This is not related to Innoson too!

Fools like you, Naijacost22, just make senseless comments (such as your daft post above) to suit their prejudices.

Everyone praises Dangote for his philanthropy, but what some of us know too well is that:

1. Dangote kills ALL forms of competition. He killed Ibeto Cement owned by the South-East businessman a few years ago, using his paid agents in Federal Government under Obasanjo!

2. He likes being NUMBER 1 in every business he does.

3. He is as corrupt as they come. He heavily bribes everyone and everything, including politicians, civil servants, Customs, immigration, free trade zone consultants, officers of the military, navy, Air Force, Police, etc.

4. The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, is Dangote's errand boy from his (Obaseki's) days as founder of the investment bank/firm called Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited. So, he is doing the bidding of his paymaster by harassing BUA.

5. Dangote was one of the major financiers of Obaseki's election in Edo state, so, this is payback time.

6. This is a feud between two Kano people, two Northern Muslims, but daft clowns whose entire lives revolves around ethnicity, have started adding religious, regional, and political angles to it!

7. Nigeria urgently needs anti-trust laws that would prevent corrupt capitalists like Dangote from capturing state power for their selfish ends!

I live in Edo state and I know what's up.

What do you know about Edo politics? About the relationship between Dangote, Oshiomole and Obaseki ? Before 2015 who had ever heard of Obaseki ? Do you know the role of Oshiomole in helping Dangotes effort to take over what was Okpilla cement company ?
The opposition PDP even tried to debate and oppose the move at the state assembly but was stopped.

Have you ever tried to understand the relationship between Afrinvest (Obaseki's financial company ) and Dangote Industries Limited ? Who financed the last governorship elections in Edo ?

Does a sitting governor need to visit a mining site in order to maintain law and order ? With a Major General in tow? They didn't bother to visit the other site owned by Dangote , only that of BUA. First in history. Lol

Study the statement attributed to BUA. Don't you see it is pregnant with meaning ? Rabiu has no confidence in Edo state government because he knows what's up. The partiality is obvious.

itsdumebi:
The Edo State Government and security agencies comprising men of the Nigerian Army, the Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Services (DSS) in the state on Wednesday stormed the disputed Obu mine site and arrested two employees of BUA International Limited over violation of a Stop Work order issued by the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel.

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki ordered the arrest of the two employees of BUA International Limited when he visited the site and discovered that work was ongoing despite relaying directives from the Federal Government on a stop-work order pending the determination of a court suit over the ownership of the mine site.

Obaseki said that the state government was more interested in the security of lives and property and that much as there was need for investors to make returns on their investment, no money is worth any life.

He said: "There is a dispute over the ownership of this mine site. The dispute is in court. There was specific instruction from the Minister of Mines and Steel Development asking that work should stop pending the outcome of the matter before the court. I addressed a section of the Okpella community who came to me to express concerns about the growing tension in the community because of the dispute.

"At that point, I issued instructions that the work should stop in line with the Federal Government directive and the case in court. I said that status quo be maintained until the determination of the case in court. I think that is the simple, commonsensical thing to do. There is a quarrel and all parties should maintain peace and the status quo."

He said it was regrettable that having gotten the directive, the management of BUA International Limited went on air to say that the state government has no authority and right to enforce a federal government directive.

According to him, “What they are saying in essence is that government does not matter. That sort of utterance and position is very dangerous for our country for a company that needs government to treat us with such disdain. With this, things will degenerate into anarchy. How can they operate in such an environment. We don't care who owns what, but human life is more expensive than whatever money anybody can make.”

It was gathered that there are ten other mine sites aside the disputed one, and with the stop work order, BUA International Limited could mine from its other sites in the area to sustain its production.

The Commander of 4 Brigade, Major General Ibrahim Garba, who led the Army personnel to the enforcement exercise, directed that explosives being used for the mining activities be confiscated, adding, "We gave permission for the explosives to be used here. But now, they would be sent to the brigade headquarters."

Speaking at the Palace of the Okuokphellagbe of Okpella, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Andrew Dirisu, Obaseki said the visit to the site was to assure the people of the area that government was on top of the situation and to ensure peace in the community.

"With the action we have taken now, we know there would be pressure on the concerned parties to resolve the situation," he added.

Alhaji Dirisu reiterated that the people want peace in the area, noting, "There is no way we wouldn't welcome people to invest. But what we want is for everyone to take what they get and no one should take from another. For now, as you have given your order, who are we to dispute it. I thank you for calling for peace in this matter."

bua group have released a statement about it.

https://twitter.com/BUAgroup/status/948634947753046016

We have been made aware that today, the Edo State Governor, in the company of some security operatives, visited one of our mining sites in Obu-Okpella, Edo State to effect a gestapo-style forceful shutdown of that mine despite a subsisting court pronouncement that the Mine be allowed to operate. Upon reaching that mining site and not meeting any personnel or equipment, two BUA Cement employees were invited to the mining site to receive the Governor. We later learnt that these employees were arrested upon arrival on the orders of the Governor and taken away for no just reason.
As it stands, we do not know why they were arrested but have requested our lawyers to secure their unconditional release immediately as these employees are innocent and have no knowledge of why they were being arrested.

Of all security issues threatening that community, all you could see is politics? For BUA group to say that the state or federal government has no right to stop it from working, that also is right to you.

In fact I rest my case, from your write-up, it's clear you're still pained by the loss of your party in the last election in Edo. You can wail on please, no more reply for you.

Was Obaseki Dangotes investment banker yes or no?
