Barcelona have signed Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in a club-record transfer.

Mirror Football understands that the Reds have settled on an agreement for the Brazilian for an initial fee of €120million (£106.4m), with a further €40m (£35.5m) in add-ons.

It is the second-most expensive transfer of all-time, trailing the £198million PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar last summer - and it is the most money ever received by an English club.

Coutinho will pen a five-year deal, with the Catalan giants likely to give him an extension in the summer to ensure his deal does not run out mid-season.

He was spotted in London on Saturday preparing to jet to Barcelona and link up with his new club.

It's painful for me as a Liverpool fan since 2004,I've watched the best leave for either Madrid or Barca,The least Coutinho could gave done was to give us the 2nd half of the season, he was so desperate for the move,it's Klopp I pity the most cos it will be difficult to replace him and it will disrupt his plans, that was why he didn't allow him leave during the summer cos of the timing,FSG need to show more sincerity towards their ambition to winning silverware,under their reign we've seen the likes of Torres Suarez and Sterling leave for a profit they need to change but with the signing of VVD it shows some intent ......wish the little magician all the best at Camp Nou.
