Do you have a token?
If yes, are you saying it was not required for the transaction?

In any case he thinks the token security cannot be broken
It is a false sense of security
The token can be blocked and another one obtained by a fraudster while he is holding onto the ancient relic

Nigerians generally trust new technology too much

You are very funny.
If i have your card details, I can change the number you receive your OTP to mine in the nearest ATM booth with quickteller.
Just pray nobody gets your ATM card in the first place.
not possible without the hardware, if you are with my card, there is no point retaining its details after replacing it

I once ordered an e-book from Okada books with my GTB MasterCard without them asking me to input my card pin. Just my card number and Security number.
This happened in December 2016
That's normal...

If lautech boys were as mad as you're describing, then the whole of naija go feel their 'card fraud potentials '
Don't deceive urself. Naija has mad security concerning ATM cards and shopping online. Even more than USA cards.

Those who card know its hard to do anything with a naija card

Are you willing to try it on your card?
If a website is requesting for OTP, it must be a reputable website, however , there are millions of websites
on the internet which will not ask for OTP, they don't even need your pin. I am speaking from experience.

most foreign website dont ask for pin
If foreign websites don't ask for pin, the transaction will never work with gtb card unless u have the person card details and his sim with u. U need to go extra miles for u to still his money with only card details and this will involve u having a sensitive insider in the bank and in the gsm company.

gtb server will never conclude such transactions without otp token. U think gtb leaves any loopholes for any hungry and easy scammer

It shouldn't be so. What if someone uses another person's card on the site without permission?

Exactly, it happened to me with Okadabooks. I was waiting for A prompt to type in my Pin or OTP to be sent to my phone and I just got a debit alert

Some guys think naija banks are mumu like they are.even If other banks are mumu not gtb that I know about very well. Those that are saying they only need card details, u supposed to have been millionaire because to get people's card details is not hard. If u can hack, it must be easy for u to hack people's four digits pin also.

is because u have already saved your card details on the site or app. Further transaction will not ask for much card details.

Most foreign websites I shop on have never asked me for OTP while shopping on foreign websites and if you
use GTB as you claimed you would know that any website that requires OTP will always
ask for it everytime you want to do transaction, there is nothing like save your card details, OTP is different from card details.
I will advise you keep your card details secret.

otp is your card transaction details my friend. Gtb will send it to u while transacting online. Use your brother Gtb card without otp for online transaction to know what am talking about. For u to use another person card online without otp, u will go extra miles which will even cost u more.

. After every transaction you made online with your ATM cards, be sure to go and change your PIN immediately. Your credit card PIN is very precious to a fraudster even than your CVV2 number and any other card details, without your PIN there is basically nothing any crook will do with your funds

even without pin someone can still make use of the card on foreign sites . cvv2 is even more important than pin when shopping online. its not every site that requires atm pin to complete transactions.

most site doesn't require such to complete transactions . if you think they use otp, then you will end up getting your cash zapped thinking they need otp to complete transactions

if you are to change your pin after every transaction, how won't someone get confused and forget too when next you need to transact?

Can you imagine the dumb suggestion?

Isn't that for folks logging in from non-secure locations and devices without encryption?

You go change so-tey, you go luck yourself out! Your bush meat don catch hunter be dat!

It depends on the amount. If its a meager amount, the transaction goes without otp token.

Many Online Applications now support the using of Credit Cards popularly known in 9ja as ATM cards for payment

When I read this on the first line of your article I lost confidence in your capacity to handle such a serious topic. Nigerian ATM cards are debit cards not credit cards. There is a big difference.

My dear, Dnt be too sure. You are completely WRONG!!!
I Hve a gtb token, movie app and I use their USSD banking as well. I shop regularly on ASOS.Com and EBay and I Hve NEVER used my token or OTP. So the fact that some site ask for token does nt mean that all site does. You can try and shop at ASOS. Come and give us feed back. Meanwhile shop for amount below 200usd.
