Nothing much is happening as rgds Unilag transcript for now, NASU is still on striking leaving transcript matters at a standstill!
Some one mentioned to me today that one has to apply on Unilag website 6 wks b4 one's case can be treated! Don't know how true dis is??!

Any one with more ideas on dis? D worst is dat their website isn't coming up self! SMH for nija institutions joor!
The six weeks is not entirely true, though some applicants experience delays of some sort. Normally, your request should be treated within 3 to 4 weeks.

The Unilag site is actually running but the transcript page is off, if it remains off till (or after) NASU calls off their strike, try get to senate if you can, if not, send a proxy that gets things done.

No please.

Sit down and think of all the things you do on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, write them in your own words, you may ask colleagues with same role for their CV to help jog your memory. Then look at the NOC you want to use and match each duty to the role description of your NOC.

Your duties must cover at least 75% of the NOC and the lead statement must describe your job function.

Ethelia:
Hello everyone, it's been a while.

Please I have a question about employment reference letter. When it comes to listing the job descriptions, can one just copy and paste the ones provided on the NOC page?

Also, does anyone have any sample for lawyers? I think nervousness is making me draw up blank.

Many thanks!

Hello good people.

A friend got ITA and has gathered his documents. He just got married and wants to land canny with his lovely wife. He wants to update his EE profile and include his wife, but the challenge here is the wife's int'l passport is still bearing her father's name. What are the best possible ways to walk through it?

Thank you.
Are you aware if your friend has submitted his application? If not, he needs to recalculate his CRS as a married applicant, then do the needful (Reject or Accept ITA). His wife's name as it is bares no negative implication. He can proceed, leave it at that through the application or proceed as is, then raise a CSE to provide the renewed password during the application.

In addition; if the CRS drops lower than can be reasonably expected to get ITA soon, the wife should prepare to take the IELTS (maximum of 20 CRS points obtainable) and get an ECA (maximum of 10 points) to recover the lost points. He may do one and not do the other though....depending on how much points he needs to re-enter ITA range.

Hi, I need an info as regards raising CSE. If you are yet to find out where your Visa Office is, what do you answer to the question "Is your application being processed by an office Outside Canada?"

Thank you.

Choose "No".

Thanks a lot! I'll stick to the Tbills and 6months statement then.
Kontagious:
Hi hi, I didn’t include bank letter. It was just 2 Tbills certificate, 6 months statement + screenshot from Oanda & EX. I used the SOA because I needed the closing balance in addition to the Tbills value, SOA was barely 6 pages.

You don’t need the SOA to show debit of the TBills. The certificates will details they are from your account as the certificate bears your name (the account name), account number, date invested among other details. That’s enough to show it’s from your account. The 6 (or 3) months SOA you’d be providing will detail you haven’t liquidated the investments.

A way to work around your multiple POF source is to do a cover letter saying you have funds from various sources, all have been included in your POF document but a summary is as below; you may do something like the attached table (adjust to your taste or whatever detail you want to include). From the table, VO already sees the total you have at a glance without having to sum up all your POF document, just left for him to confirm you attached the documents (perhaps their value too) and continue with whatever he’s to do.

Try keep the documents as simple as you can. Wish you the best.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Newmum0615: 10:28am On Jan 12, 2018
Ok. Thanks. So even if one the Tbills was just booked this month, I don't necessarily need to add SOA?
40manlappy:

T-bill notification is an acceptable POF on its own. You may not need a letter showing 6 months average if you are providing another acceptable POF like T-bill. Applicants resorted to statement of account as an alternative to reference letters in IRCC format.

However, if adding SOA will make you feel at ease, please go ahead smiley

Please don't. I am assuming that you have a JD. Take a look at it if available and try looking at it side by side with the NOC. Try to reword what it listed there to suit what you do and add other details of your JD that's not listed. I'm also assuming that your HR can write accordingly.

Thank you.
I didn't go through SINP but I was planning to before scores started dropping in 2017. I also know a couple of people that got SINP nomination
Your degree has to be related to your NOC.
For example, You can't use a microbiology bsc alone to get nomination for a finance related NOC... You may scale through if u have another degree (masters, ond, pgd) or certification (ACCA, ican, etc) that's finance related
TEECANN:

@Peaceful2016

Congrats on your PPR. Such a sweet news to start the year.

BTW, I have been searching around for you for a while, it obvious you re not always around here.

I read one of your posts...maybe on the PART 2 of EE thread where you mentioned that SINP does not accept degree not matching ones work experience unlike FSWP

How true is this? Please can you shed a little light on this as I guess you re a SINP PNP.

Thank you as it I know that it has already started ending in praise!

I don't think copy and paste is allowed. U don't ve to meet up with ALL d job descriptions on d NOC, sm will do.
Newmum0615:

No! It's either of these combinations:
OND+HND+BSc or

That's what someone said so I'm kinda confused here

You can pay online for your transcript but it's advisable you go to school and process it yourself(it will be faster that way). You may find the below screenshot helpful as that was the procedure I followed. If you don't stay in Lagos, you can send someone to assist you.
