Thanks. I will try and demote the pc back to windows 8.1. Can't fit shout!!!!

Ok, after so much research, I finally find a solution. I use my phone for tethering and have two USBs, when I change my USB or phone connections it automatically enables the updates again.

So I always disable once I make any change. Since then it's being better. Am still left with over 4gb, I used less than 500mb today even after long time of work.
I don't understand you pls explain better as I am having the same issue (data gulping by window 10) what exactly do I need to disable and I dont understand that USB or phone connection thin

I have turn on metered connection I have disable download over meter connection what else do I need to do?

hold down the windows button and tap the R button
Type "services.msc"
when the window opens, scroll down till you get to "Windows Update"
Double click it and change the 'starting type' from automatic to disable.
click apply.
restart your system and you are good.

Cheers

Hello gurus,

I bought this Samsung External hard drive 1tb some days ago. I used it to back up my documents and was playing a movie with it and had to plug it out without ejecting it. Now it just keeps loading but won't show up.

Please how do I solve this?

No. I don't think so. Just that I removed it without ejecting.

That isnt enough for it to be having such issues. The health of the hard drive may have gone critical. Back up your files while you can

Are you using Windows 10? If YES, continue using your Windows. Defender or download Avast antivirus from Avast site.

Windows defender or free antivirus can't do the kind of job the paid version of antivirus will do.

If you need all round protection, better buy antivirus.

Best solution is to replace it.

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by ePrive(m): 6:07pm On Jan 13, 2018
And for those talking about; your system zapping loads of data, a solid fix is;

Use your phone as your hotspot..... and when connected with it.....go to your PC WI-FI settings, and set your phone connection as a METERED CONNECTION......that's the key. Your system will always recognize that connection as having limited data.

So anytime you connect from your phone..... only your current task would be allowed to connect to the internet. So nothing like background synchronisation of other apps or Windows update.
