On this I agree with TM..African parents raise up their female kids with iron fist ;all in preparation for 'marriage';to a man without morals and proper upbringing. When a man cheats;there must be something she did wrong and ur expected to fight for ur marriage and engage in "War Room-movie" prayer tactics;but if the woman cheats;na her papa house straight.
I heard some guys at a joint gisting and teasing each other recently;saying they must marry oo;say dem don tire to dey chop outside and its cheaper home cooking with our economic meltdown.Sadly thats one of the major reasons y some men got married.Live in cook in the name of wife.I intend to bring up my sons and daughters with the same iron fist & prepare them for that lady & guy they will marry eventually. No discrimination..
are you kidding me? African men being raised with soft hands.. Obviously you didn't get the message he was trying to pass.

I agree with her and sadly a great number of Nigerian parents are also raising their children same way. You raise your sons with soft gloves and raise your daughters with iron fists constantly reminding her that she must be of good behaviour for her future husband. Of what use is all that training if she ends up with a poorly trained boy? Parents have their work cut for them in raising responsible, reliable and accountable children, sadly they are failing woefully going by all the moral decadence going on around us today.
have u heard about spoil a woman u spoil a nation?

Who made women to start doing house chores, respect the man, cook and be a good wife,is it men?,it is women themselves, their mother and aunties.men are not the problem but they always blame men for all ills of society.

Nigerian women are hypocrites.always forming feminism on internet

the same woman will open her legs for him after the so called Misogynistic Comment because of money, fame and reputation

dont believe any Nigeria girls, they copy everything western ,woman rights and the rest

they have a standard for other girls but them themselves easily do what they like, they are like nigerian preachers, they dont practise what they preach.

Fake women,i love my women to be femine not some feminist bastard that always see men as the problem of all ills of the society.

[quote author=donstan18 post=65532928]For all I care, she's trying to seek his attention, because she wasn't condemning or supporting his motion, she was just beating around just for the sake of reacting, not surprised thou. Women can do anything to get the attention of successful men...So i'll kindly disregard that rubbish she scribbled.

Back to your comment.

@Bolded, where did you get your statistics that Nigerian parents are more strict to their daughters than their sons?

Woman, can you authoritatively tell and prove to the forum that Nigerian parents are more strict to their daughters than sons. You ladies are busy hiding under the shield of misogynist. just to spill your long awaited complaints.....You all should stop generalizing Anthony Joshua's personal decision on kids training.

I don't even understand...How can you say African parents are soft to their sons more than daughters... Abi my papa been de different? ...How can you say that?, huh?

Incase you don't know, woman.

The only aspect of training where parents are more strict to their daughters than sons is Sexual exposure and life , why?, because African society doesn't play and consider gender equity while condemning a man and a lady that sleeps around.

Kindly come up with your statistics and prove that African parents are more strict to their daughters than sons

You typed of a trained lady ending up with a poor trained boy....incase you don't know, the bitter truth remains that the only training you ladies prefer from a man is MONEY , that's why you see ladies pretend to still love a rich man even if she's not enjoying the marriage.

Please come and take tiger nut and date. God bless u so well.

Dsov2016:
truth. its like a pendulum now its tilting very squarely on feminist angle but when it will tilt towards male angle ehn they would have to look for another word to describe misogyny. anyway while I believe in women freedom and greater equality, some of these ladies need to learn that you can't seek equality on the basis of domination.
Thank you bro. That's the very word I've been looking for. They want "DOMINATION".

They're by no means asking for women freedom alone. I support women freedom cos my loving mother and sister are women.

Go to America and they've turned men to full time house boys. When they're done with the man, they divorce him and they're handed all the man earned his entire life along with all the children and the man dies in lack and without any love from his children he laboured for. DOMINATION !!

I once watched a movie that clearly described this wickedness.

Nothing misogynistic in those comments he was just telling the practical truth. If nature had wanted us to be 'equal' it would have made us unisex grin

Toke has some really salient points shhe raised tho.. We are just being controlled by society... The male folks get away with a lot.. mothers usually pampered their first sons. Then the men turn out to become something else in the future.. I don't see it changing anytime soon tho..

I see comments here about how boy are trained with soft gloves. are you kidding me, some of these women just go about spewing trash. it's the male child that has to be "a man", he's the one who's job it is to protect his sister and be strong. at home ,he does the heavy duty jobs. also In a situation where a robbery happens and a bunch of people are taken hostage, the negotiation starts with 'oh at least let the women and children go". need examples just look at the Titanic.
Being a boy here in this country, you are raised in a spartan way. Were i came from, we boys do the heavy jobs, what the girls do is cooking and cleaning which we also do very well. I have a mentality that i must protect all females in my house both the ones older than my father. i give my younger sisters the best things and tell my younger bro he doesn't have to complain that he is a man, this small boy is just 12. I scold him for beating his younger sister at home when she insults or disrespect him and i shower him with praises when he fights for her after she has probably insulted another boy outside. That was how i was raised, my cousin and i were taught to defend our sisters first as long as they stood a threat of being molested whether they are wrong or right.
Being a boy on this continent isn't soft, you wake up with the feeling that you have to be the one to save your family from poverty. It is your obligation to buy daddy a benz and build mummy a house. it is your sole responsibility to train or assist in the training of your siblings. Here, it is never about us first, it is about family first before us. i have guys who don't talk with their dads, not that they are quarreling its just that they come from a militarized background. where you are not allowed to have a relationship with your superior.
Please it isn't soft here for boys...help me tell them

Naaa. He did.
The ceiling shouldn't be adjusted depending on the gender.
The sky should be the limit for both sex.

You can help a female child to achieve her dream and at the same time make a good, respectful and loyal wife.

I go with the barbie on this one.

I really don't know who to blame:

Cos u see mothers treat their sons like gold and teach their daughters to be slave.

You see mothers tell their son to marry so someone can clean his house and wash his dishes (to seek a wife that is not a helper but a slave).

So I really can't blame AJ, cos who knows what his mother taught him. (no shade intended)

In reality however, I see AJ respecting his woman, helping out at home and with his kids. So I think he knows better.
