I disagree with you on this completely.

You’re only providing entertainment and not fighting fraud unless you’re doing full disclosure which includes names.

On this topic you’re no better than the average Nigerian because we have bark and no bite.

This provides only basic and general VIN information for free. The VIN-specific and relevant records, you'd still need to pay for. With a viable MasterCard or Visa card.

Am not a car dealer bro, can't answer that question, maybe you should check the Auto section.

Ive not done it before, but some people are doing it and is workings.

If you can do it yourself, no issue, but if you're using a dealer, becareful.

Because as things are now, can't even recommend anyone.

It is curious that when you check the bottom page of every section on Nairaland the name(s) of the moderators of each section are boldly written except in the Autos section. I find that very strange.

This is a relatively clean titled 2015 Toyota Venza. No issues to disclose, from my findings. Find the mileage at auction in 2017 and other information below.

Buyers are always looking for ridiculously cheap cars too. They want low mileage for a 10 to 15year old car. To me, the only reason a 10year old car will have a mileage lower than 100k is accident, that's car wasn't used for a period of time.

Dealers or no dealers, Nigerians are greedy! We want to make so much on just one deal/transaction. Even you wey dey criticise dealers, are you honest in dealing with your clients. You are complaining because this directly affect you.

Last year, I was in the car market for a BMW e70, the prices I got was in the range of 6m to 7.5m for a 2008 x5 tokunbo, and I wonder why cars are so expensive in this country.

I bought the same car for $6000, (auction with high mileage; 170k) accident free. Add $300 to ship in a container with other cars ($6300). Then clearing cost of 950k. Total of about 3.2m.

We are just too greedy.

I am not a saint!

Same excuses I see everywhere. Una rehearse am for midnight meeting? Buyers want ridiculously cheap this, buyers want low mileage that. Buyers want clean title this, yada yada yada.
Egbon no let that one be your excuse. So because you sell rice and people come to your shop everyday quoting and haggling prices, you would add stones and chaff to bulk up the rice and sell less for more? Or you would buy local rice and repackage in imported rice bags?
Crook na crook. Crook will always find an excuse. No be ponzi wey claim say e no do anything wrong because buyers wanted ridiculously high return percentages and he used that to build a fraudulent scheme so big it became the eponymous standard?
Tell the truth and provide the facts about your vehicles, and when these buyers come to you with their ridiculous haggling explain things to them, after all na sales you dey. If dem no gree please move on. There are lots of fish in the ocean.

If a buyer seeking a 2005 GMC suburban with 60,000 miles in 2018 goes to the open market and realizes he can’t get anyone with legit history for the rock bottom prices he had in mind, of course he would readjust his expectations. Yes. Demand drives supply, but that shouldn’t be an excuse to do shady sh1t.
