Good attempt. But no insulation whatsoever. I foresee easily burnt fingers of hands of mommies and children. Whoever made this tried. He/she should also consider valuable heat loss from the entire body of the stove given that the entire body is conducting.

We are getting there.

Your typical Barbecue stand has no insulation or whatever. And yet we all use charcoal irons without getting our hands burnt... Maybe you intend using your bare hands on them, Good luck.

The wood is constantly burning so your theory on heat loss is negligible. The makers definitely have more knowledge than you probably will ever have.

Firewood stove in 2018 when the rest of the world is moving away from fossil fuel, pollutants and deforestation.

This backward and archaic rubbish is what these Igbos are calling creativity.

See as shame the catch me for you.

When people criticise constructively, lessons ought to be learnt so that future reviews become better. You are here turning basic science on its head and have the effrontery to insult someone while you obviously know nothing.

Back to the topic:

The efficiency of the stove will be low due to excessive heat loss through the body. Two negative consequences: more firewood will be consumed, hot kitchen if used indoors.

To be used indoors, wood have to be treated to eliminate excessive smoke.

My opinion is that a lot of work still has to be done to improve the stove to have comparative advantage over the local 'abacha' stove

Why not say that you don't understand what the op meant by heat loss than exposing your level of ignorance in attacking him

You will just come online and be spewing trash. Where and where have to been to in the so called rest of the world or what other valid source of information did you analyse before you came to the conclusion that using wood for cooking and heating is outdated in 2018?

I don't know if the Op is joking or not

As of 1968, under heavy bombardment and economic blockade, biafrans built their own communication network, refined their oil, built rockets(ogbunigwe), rebuilt uli airstrip multiple times after bombings. etc etc. Only God knows what we could have become if this one Nigerianist just left us alone.

Wood-burning stoves 'can be as deadly as exhaust fumes' by producing smoke that can cause heart disease

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1354387/Wood-burning-stoves-cause-cancer-heart-disease.html

Traditional Cooking Methods Can Kill

Open fires and primitive cookstoves are fueled by solid materials, including coal and biomass (wood, dung and crop residue). These fuels release harmful particles into the air as they burn. When inhaled on a regular basis, these particles can cause diseases such as asthma, lung disease and pneumonia.

Expert raises alarm over 95,300 smoke-related deaths in Nigeria

Clean Energy Investments and Partnership to Power Nigeria’s Development’ at the 2013 annual general meeting of Global fund for Women Grantees Network Ltd (GFWGN).
She said it was unfortunate that the affected Nigerians were mostly women and children since they are the ones often exposed to the wooden smoke.

Coming from a person that comes from the most backward part of the world.

Your backward north celebrates fire wood as if it is a nuclear fuel. Isn't guinea corn stalk you folks use in the north?

Aba is just helping out your parasitic lazy azzes by producing a more convenient means of using fire wood.

Next time you spew rubbish here, make sure your devilish party at the center has returned with the dapchi girls.
