Guinness Book of Records and today, we highlight a
few of these records as published on the official website of Guinness Book Of Records.

1. Largest Football Shirt
The largest football shirt measures 73.55 m (241 ft 3 in) wide and 89.67 m (294 ft 2 in) long and was created by Guinness Nigeria Plc (Nigeria) in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, on 25 January 2013.

2. Most People Crocheting Simulteneously
The most people crocheting simultaneously is 485 and was achieved by American University of Nigeria (Nigeria) in Yola, Nigeria, on 24 April 2015.

3. Most Chartered Accountants In One Family

Three sons and two daughters of Senator David
Omueya and Cynthia Esella Dafinone of Lagos,
Nigeria, all qualified as members of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
between 1986 and 1999. Their father had also
become a member of the same institution in 1963. Igho Omueya Dafinone, Ede Omueya Dafinone, and
Duvie Omueya Dafinone are currently working
within the firm of D O Dafinone Co. Chartered
Accontants in Lagos. Daphne Omueya Dafinone and
Joy Ufuoma Dafinone live in London.

4. Most People Washing Their Hands
The most people washing their hands is 37,809 at an event organised by Lifebuoy Team and the federal government of Nigeria at TBS Onikan in Lagos, Nigeria on 14 October 2011. The record was held to encourage children to wash their hands with soap and water to defeat diarrhea.

5. Largest Ludo Board
The largest Ludo board game measured 9.65 m (31 ft 7 in) long and 9.65 m (31 ft 7 in) wide. It was created by Adesoye College Offa (Nigeria) and was presented and measured in Offa, Nigeria, on 3 July 2012.

6. Longest Home Unbeateen Streak By A Nigerian Premier League Team

The longest home unbeaten streak by a Nigerian
Premier League team is 202 games, achieved by
Kano Pillars F.C. (Nigeria), at the Sani Abacha
Stadium, in Kano, Nigeria, on 23 August 2015. Kano
Pillars unbeaten home run began after a 2-1 defeat
against Julius Berger (now Bridge FC) on 21 June 2003. They then did not lose a home game for 12
years 63 days until their 2-1 defeat to Nasarawa
United.

7. Youngest Person To Win The AFCON As A Player And Coach

The youngest person to win the Africa Cup of
Nations as a player and coach is Stephen Keshi (b.
31 January 1961, Nigeria) who was 52 years and 10
days old when he won the tournament as head
coach of Nigeria at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg,
South Africa, on 10 February 2013. Keshi was captain of the Nigeria national team when he won
the tournament as a player in 1994, beating Zambia
2-1 in the final. As a manager Keshi lead his team to
glory after a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in the fin

8. Longest Single Note Held On A Saxophone

Femi Kuti broke the World record for the longest
single note held on a saxophone at the New
Africa Shrine. He attained the feat on Sunday,
May 14, 2017 at the New Africa Shrine. The Afrobeat legend had attempted to break the
record before, but got his information wrong
after he could only go past Kenny G’s record,
which turned out to be the second best record in
the world. But he has shattered it on second attempt, with a
record of 51 minutes, 35 seconds. The previous
record was held Vann Burchfield. It ran for 47
minutes, 5.5 seconds.

9. Longest Rap Freestyle By An Individual

Popularly known as Chiddy of Chiddy Bang,
rapped his way into the Guinness book of
records in 2011. He is the current holder of the
longest rap freestyle by an individual. He set the
record at the MTV O Music Awards in Las Vegas,
the U.S.A. Chiddy freestyled for 9 hrs, 18 mins and 22 secs stealing the throne from rapper M-
Eighty, who originally broke the record in 2009.
He even had to keep rapping while using the
toilet twice, to set the record.

10.Fastest Time To Complete A Half Marathon On Each Continent And The North Pole Marathon (Female)
The fastest time to run a half marathon on each continent and the North Pole (female) is 62 days 12 hr 58 min 49 sec and was achieved by Tuedon Morgan (Nigeria), from 8 February 2015 to 12 April 2015.
